Downs are a great club and have done well in the last few years to build themselves up into the powerhouse they are. We try to mould our club on some areas that the Downs have been successful in.
The Downs are a great club. Always welcoming new players and their families. The hard work done in the back ground has made the club a success on and off.
I always loved playing against them and their 12th man (Gordy and the other lads behind the goals). Now enjoy being a member of the winning fossils team.
Not a loss, just more oppuortunity for younger players.
Why does this come up every year. And generally you are the one making it. Money talks? what kind of stupid comment is that.
Every club does what it can with what they make and provide. We have a great set up to earn coin, but lots goes out in maintaingin that set up as well. Our pitch !!!

Thats not our area unfortunatly. It is up tot the council, they are the ones bwingdifficult to deal wiht there.
They have however done some work to it, regrassed some areas and watered it for a while. Its not looking too bad at the momnet, far better than other years. We will just have to see how it hold up when it starts getting used.
I think my drinking club has a soccer problem.....

first time ive seen a beach along main north road!! here was me driving down Grand junction for a swim.......
It is true, a few years ago they did fertilise the pitch with round up. bloody idiiots. Was prob the same year they top dress it with dollertimte to.
Pitty about Blacky if its true. Ive not spoken to him in a few months. Hope all is well for him though.

I didn't know that about the pitch. That is a stuff up and a half.
I giver Bert 3 trial games and then he will be back out there. The man is fit enough to play 1st team until he is 65
Downs will replace what they lose. All clubs need a bit of a turnover every few years. They will still be a force

No hook line and sinker here biffroid everyone can count us out at their peril and we can only wait and see. If anyone needs to improve it would have to be the teams that finished lower than us last season. Some cracking signings already in the bag and yes it was money well spent. At the end of the day we would still be one of the most supported teams in Div 1 or Div 4. I suppose if times get tough we can have 2 shows a year and reap the rewards. . Lock up your Goat because if you dont Parafield might f ****k it or the Vale might eat it.... As a great Elizabethian once said look theres Nugget at KFC again...
