Congratulations Ingle Farm

Congratulations to Ingle Farm. Both your A's and B's play quality football and were without doubt the best teams in their respective leagues. You win and lose gracefully and are worthy champions.

All the best in division 1.

My thoughts exactly, good bunch of blokes, Simo, ur a top bloke as a coach and it is easily seen there a lot of respect from your players, also opposing sides. Farm, thanks for sticking around after the game and having a beer well deserved guys, to vista, a sad way to end a top season, but keep heads up. Good luck in Div 1 guys, a balanced side that could rattle some sides, as shown through the cup games

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Well done Farmers. Although I don't think in your wildest dreams did you imagine you'd win so easily.

Good luck in Division 1.

Yes well done to Ingle Farm and PHE on reflection the two best sides in the league although if Fulham had had a better start they would have come close!

Good luck in Division 1 to both sides - interesting that many said at the begining of the season that Division 2 was very poor this year - wonder what they are saying now

Yes well done to all the clubs especially the promoted two. This has been a very interesting year and look very much forward to next season. Also great effort to the newbies of div 2 for staying up like the knights, limnos & pumas.

To the Fulham lads, we showed in the end that we could match it with the best in this league and even beat them. Unfortunately we just missed out and left our run a little late however we did ourselves very proud. Cant wait until next season and if its anything like this year it should be a cracker and hopefully we will be back in div 1 soon.

Thanks for a great div 2 this season.

Super effort from the Farm yesterday, with there backs to the wall and 1-0 down at half time they turned it around to secure the championship.

Well done to Simmo, Leggy and the boys.

The day started with a great win by the Farm B's who I believe are the best B's going round in the amateur league. Congratulations to Brian and the boys, thoroughly deserved.

What a game of two halves for the A's. I think the Farm were a bit nervous in the 1st half and Vista were out to play. Vista virtually won every 50/50 ball and there defence was sitting rock solid, very few chances for both sides. Apparently Vista's goal was out by a foot before it was crossed and scored but I can't confirm that, couldn't tell where I was standing. At 45 minutes it looked like a repeat of our first encounter where we went down 1-0 at home. I thought the Farm had a goal in them for the second 45 minutes but that was it, Vista look very good.

The second half the Farm were a different team, absolutely smashing Vista all over the ground. The introduction of Alby Lynn for the second half proved to be the key and Farm attacked with hunger. Once the Farm scored there first goal, the shackles were broken, confidence returned and we could tell the boys would get a second. I don't think anyone would predict the final result but that’s football. I would have loved to have seen the East faces after knowing we were down 1-0 at half time on Vista ground. Very few get away with scoring one goal let alone two at Vista, they must have thought they had there hands on the title.

Bulldog and the Vista lads were fantastic after the game and can hold there heads high for a stella year. Every Vista player and coaching staff came over and congratulated all the Farm players and coaches. They deserved better than to drop to 5th. All the best for next year.

Congratulation to the East for gaining promotion. The Farm and East definitely the best two teams in the Div 2 this year.

When I got a call saying Vista were 1-0 up, we were 1-0 down and a few of us honestly thought if we could grab those 2 goals we'd have it.

When i heard VIsta were down to 10 men I knew it was over.

Fair play to the Farm though, great Div 2 battle between top 5 this year.

See you next year :D

My first ever post. I have done a lot of reading of this site over the past 6 months but never registered so hear we go.

What a great day Sunday was for me and Ingle Farm. In our wildest dreams, we couldn't of hoped for a better way to finish espically against Modbury Vista. Everything fell right for the B's. I don't think we have scored from a corner this year and on Sunday we scored 3. It was just one of those days.

As for the A's, what can you say. 1-0 against PHE and came back to win. That turned the season around. 1-0 against Vista and to put 8 past the best defence in the league is fantastic. A great night had by everyone at the club.

I to would like to pass on my thanks and best wishes to Modbury. They lost in complete style. Very sportsman like, very professional. I know it must of being killing them to have to stand there and watch us celebrate but they did it with class. It is great to see two teams who have a very strong rivalry show a lot of respect when the final whistle was blown. Modbury may be whingers on the park, but they are all class off it and deserve a lot of respect from everyone. Enough of the nice stuff though. I'm sure in two years we will see Modbury in two years and we will be going on about how much we hate them etc.

The B's have the cup semi this week and it will be interesting to see how we go. A couple will be missing but our depth has being our strength for the second half of the season.

Can't wait for a big trip up to the Gold Coast.

Hey Walker, Lets hope the Farm don't need to score a freakish goal much like your wonder cross/goal against Bosna. Nasa Satellite footage shows your eyes never looked at the goal.

Do I have to bring out a 4 page spread on the goals that turned the season around for the B's in Count Night Tentacles.

The goal was perfectly time, hit and placed, for a full back.

At least I scored this year. Can't say the same for all the boys going to the Gold Coast.

Fair enough Walker Son, not sure if Squidy will appreciate that. You have to admit though, it was a cross... then again I think Andy Lynn may have got a touch on it before it went in on the second bounce, much like Squidy's cross goal a few years ago that Andy still claims he got a touch too.
