Frmo today's Sun newspaper...
ROY KEANE has said sorry to Alex Ferguson for the behaviour which finished his Manchester United career.
And Sunderland’s new boss apologised to chairman Niall Quinn for calling him “a muppet†and “a coward†after Keane quit Ireland at the 2002 World Cup.
So Bulldog, I think it's now time that you apologised to all the people you have called a "muppet" over the last few years at Vista.

well here we are,the last day for for the bulldog. And as usual on a sunday morning the ring is on fire, imodiums can't contain the stools this morning.
Best do this now cos i'll be pants at typing tonight me thinks.
16 years at vista has given me the chance to get to know what must be 100's of players. And there's been lots of legends past through over the years.
Been coached by many great people.Kieth knipe, johnny walker, brad french, brian nuttle, stuart gannon and the late and great bloke BILLY GRAY,who may not of been the greatest senior coach but was an amazing junior coach and top bloke to know,i'm proud to say he was once my coach.
over the years i've been able to pick up all the trophies on offer, except top goal scorer which will come as no shock to anyone who has seen me shoot.
but the last 5 years as the longest ever serving coach at the club has given me the most rewards of all.
not many people thought vista belonged in div 2 or would last there very long, which the first year was true, but the last 3 years coming 3'rd 4'th and yet to be decided this year,we've proved that were not far away from div 1.
a huge thanx to anyone who's helped me look good over the last 5 years, and especially this year which has been the best year i've had at the club in the 16 years.the new players the colts who have stepped up to the a's has given vista a kick in the arse.
A MASSIVE THANKYOU TO YOU ALL,YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE,THOSE AT THE CLUB NOW AND THOSE WHO MAY HAVE GONE TO OTHER CLUBS.ITS BEEN AN HONOUR TO BE PART OF VISTA.CHEERS.

ok so i'm not so pissed after all???????
the hardest result to swollow in my coaching career.
1-0 at half time never looked like being beaten then............well IF happened and spanked us in the second half,i have no answers really.beaten by a far better side.however as hard as it was to congratulate IF on their win and league title.vista did and that's a credit to all those's involved.
well done vista on the display of good sportsmenship today.
and thanks ingle farm for not rubbing our noses in it even more than the score line did
i'll bid vista farewell as senior coach and welcome bulldog the man behind the vista that enters div 1 next year.and that's a promise.
cheers to all the teams in div 2 this year for making it the best league i've ever coached in.
and sorry if i've abused any of you at stage , but chances are you deserved it.

Wanna say a big thank you to your good self also Sir Bulldog. As a Junior coming up into the amateur league for my first season as a senior and being taken straight into the A squad was a little scary for me to begin with. Not knowing what to expect and not knowing how long i would cope with the pressure were 2 things that were on my mind at times. I want to thank you for keeping your faith in me and giving me the opportunity to prove myself each week. I have learnt much from you as a player and a coach, Both in playing the game itself and also about great sportsmanship before and after the game. I have very much enjoyed my first year as a senior at the club i have been with my entire life. It is a shame i could not have been under your helm longer. You are a true credit to the club and have never heard a bad word spoken about your coaching and playing career. Deffinately someone to look up to as a player and coach. Best of luck with your future journeys with or without the club, and thank you again.
thank you very much mate.its been an easy task coaching you, always training always willing to bide your time, and your time will arrive as a fulltime A's player next season i'm sure.many seniors have learnt alot from you and your attitude this season and i'm sure that will always be the why you aproach the game.all the best dude i'll be there to kick your asres next season don't worry about that.cheers sav.Football_lad wrote:Wanna say a big thank you to your good self also Sir Bulldog. thanks jay.
now there will be some teams, coaches and players out there that may have seen the not so nice side of me,but if its all fair and square i've excepted defeat with some level of grace, and sunday was a toughy but that's football.your lads handled themselves very very well to,could of really rubbed it in,but i guess the score line did that.

All the best Bulldog, up until Sunday I had always seen you as a coach, and not the person you truly are. You handled yourself with great respect towards the Farm players after the game by making sure you shook every Farm player’s hand wishing them the best next year. It was a pleasure to shake your hand and have a quite word to congratulate you on a great coaching career.
Sunday was just one bad game against a team on a mission, go back through your resume and I'm sure you'll find many games that will bring back some fond memories, you’ll quickly forget about Sundays result and reflect on a successful coaching career.
As one door closes, another will open. Well done and all the best.

well done bulldog for the past 3 years you have tought me a lot...although i have never directly been coached by you, you taught me more than those that were....you always gave people the time of day and gave them a chance...it has been an honour to be around you these last few years both at training and on game day...all the best next year with whatever you do
ps: you did chose your words better than me on sunday night as well

Bulldog - it has been a pleasure to be coached by your good self. The passion that you bring into every player is amazing. U brought the excitement back for me in wanting to play each and every weekend, something i did loose b4 heading to Vista. Something that no other coach has given me. Cheers mate!

thankyou kind sir.it was a pleasure to be able to have my hand shaken by each of the IF players.many teams don't give a stuff once the game is over but sunday was different.if we were still playing, farm would be winning they were untouchable in the second half.and once i'd finished my 8 beer i saw the day and the ending of my vista coaching career for what it has been.TG01 wrote:All the best Bulldog, up until Sunday I had always seen you as a coach, and not the person you truly are. To all of you who have taken the time and effort to post stuff in this topic,i'll sum it up now.
its hard to know why i'm the way i am,why people like what i do,and why all these totally touching posts have found there way in here.
as a player i hated to lose,i hated people not trying thier hardest in a game, and not respecting eachother and more often than not i hated my team not respecting the opposition.so i guess as coach that's what i've aimed for the most.i'm not one to teach skills or tactics i guess, but i could get most to run faster for the ball, chase harder to win a ball, find a little extra to tackle the player and most of all to play with PRIDE HONOUR RESPECT.so if i've achieved that, which in most i know i did then retiring is much easier,i'm very proud of what i have achieved at the club as a team , but much much more proud of how you lot see me as a person more than a coach.
huge huge thankyou to all.
