When did I say that? I dnt even know where you got that from...?

I am very happy for us that we survived as our form was probably the most inconsistent of any team in the last few weeks... And well done, you finished a point above us, but too bad your chants of "we wont see you next season" were a bit pre-mature!

All I was trying to say was that in terms of having good teams in division its a pity Blue Eagles went down instead of you boys... because Blue Eagles were a good bunch of blokes to play against, unlike yourselves, who deservedly won the game, but resort to hitting a player in the face off the play when the refs not looking to try and get a reaction from that player and thus the player sent off... real fkn classy, but I expect nothing less...

congrats to pontians once again, undefeated is something special, also to their b's who managed to keep their cool and finish it off, well in fella's.

congrats also to gully , they did take it easy with us in the last game, yet still managed to come back from 2-0 down then to 3-2 down and finish 3-3 shows the class act they are , both teams will do well in div 2.

we at the Raptors are waiting to see what happens above, but with some rough teams entering div3 it could become an ugly comp, i'd love to leave it but if not , wont be too bothered.

div 2 is a huge jump for such a small club, the real focus this year has been on facilities, pizza/footy show nights and enjoying training but i'm sure we could start attracting some good people if we went up, we tend to recruit people who can play soccer, rather than players...sort of a no-dickheads philosophy.(occassionally one slips thru, and others fly under the radar but sooner or later he is kicked out).

i met some real good people in div 3 this year, of course sportsmanship was evident most times... but in some cases some people just took themselves too seriously and thats fine if it means that much in ur life.

all the best to all teams for 07 in whatever divison ur in.

CHRIS ,Thanks for that mate,we did play our young lads for the last game and to us it showed a bit of guts and determination to get back in the game , as you would have known! we played a lot of our young lads to see how they stack up for next year! good game in good spirit! all the best for next year! as shown in the results i dont think croatia wanted to go up anyway! but they have a good side to build on!all the best for promotion! BLUE EAGLES! guys unlucky to get such a good side together so late in the season! If you keep the same side together next year im sure you will do well! Pontions, guys well done this year! Congrats to the Celts for taking out the div 10 title Sunday. Undefeated all season with 1 game to go. Well done bhoys. Unlucky to the ressies, just missed out on top spot which would have made all 3 teams champions. Ah well, great year all round, most succesful in the history of the club, and the 2 day party is now over.

Maybe a bit harsh on the MV boys here, when they have been beaten this year by the better team they have accepted that without a problem, but it does not mean they have to accept losses or bad descisions where they think cheating has been relevant without fighting there corner.

Most of the guys on here are honest and wont hide behind a web site name and abuse people, unfortunately others do but wouldnt say it straight to the person. Give MV some credit most people on here know the individuals behind the names at MV and i think they at least try and be honest.

Thanks GB, and totally agree. It was too little too late for us... once we got some players together, we had to play Croatia, Raptors and Pontians three weeks in a row. By the time Payneham came around, we were already gone. Oh well, a couple of games really bit us in the bum (i.e. losing to San Marco in Rd 1 after being 3-1 up with 20 to go, and losing 5-4 to Raptors after coming back from 4-0 down).

have read some of the abuse aimed at mod vista on this site and i would like to add my two cents worth. when we beat them on the weekend ( 8-1) ALL THERE PLAYERS AND COACHING STAFF congratulated my players and myself. they then gave us three bottles of champs and offered us free food. they were obviously very disapointed at loseing but not once did they abuse us or make us feel unwelcome. there coach is a thorough gentleman and as a club should be congratulated for there fine efforts this year.
