Mate Some of your comments are ok. The rest is pretty ordinary. I don’t like singling out players but the administrators well that’s different.
I will blame SAWSA, SASI, Kevin Wendy and the other peoples involved. Why....Because if we can't field a very strong side its because there is a lack of a strong competition and associated program that supports the players. SASI and SAWSA have always been at logger heads. Each protecting their patches and not wanting to share or work together. FACT
Each of them not doing what is best for the player. Its always about their institutions. Each has a different agenda.
Kev had the luxury of coaching the pirates, sensations etc. that were teams built mainly upon SASI players. Those players played year in year out with each other. Of course they got results. However, if you’re honest, he did not have anything to brag about over the last few years of the WNSL. So…he shouldn’t feel too cocky either.
So…in fact the people charged with and get paid to develop the players and comp in our state have not achieved the results and hence the discussion on here about the girls. Get off their backs. Its disgraceful that they are made to feel crap.
As has been said before. How the hell can you get a team together just weeks/days before a comp kicks off and expect them to big ultra competitive. The whole comp has suffered the same issues as us. I think our attention and that of the w-league ought to be towards getting the ball moving earlier on. State teams get together and are selected months before the comp. Why not the W-league.
So do you think they will keep the same people in or will AU actually have the guts to hold people responsible??? Does the team need another coach or will this one do EVERYTHING different next year? Will they still go out to sign whoever has a name or will they pick the good ones who play in SA??? Has anyone been kind enough to admit that this experiment was actually a FAILURE? Now nobody can't blame SAWSA anymore, Kevin, Wendy etc!
