Bojan is 18, the tournament was 4-5 years ago, no way was Bojan here.Bianchi9Amaranto wrote:ac milan

Re: World Soccer Challenge
if was all australian type tourney yes they would bring it bak.Bianchi9Amaranto wrote:ac milan

but due to the fact that there were ethnic teams in competiotion there was so called """" to much violence """""""" between ethnic fans for the australian football federation .
i am sure alot of people want it bak even australians that dont go for any european team but just enjoy european football
because it was a joy to watch european football here even if it was u20
but i am afraid it wont come bak
unless we could convince the FFA to bring it bak

Re: World Soccer Challenge
Yes it received poor crowds of about 2-3k but I think they should reconsider and try it again and i think good crowds of 9-10k would go.Laziale wrote:What violence?? Some greek and italian kids giving each other sh*t??

Re: World Soccer Challenge
I still remember AIS pumping Chievo 4-0. Hahah serves them right for sending the allevi squad instead of the primavera side. a_mac would've loved it!
Probably would do better now given football has gained a lot of publicity and popularity since the WC.

Re: World Soccer Challenge
Abonglahor was here when Villa ripped it up
Chopra with Newcastle also, he scored nearly every game.
Our SA sensation side made it to the final v Villa and lost 5-0 in what probably could have been 15-0.

Re: World Soccer Challenge
I remember Gabby. There was another black lad who partnered him upfront and was meant to be the next star in the making etc etc but I thought wtf, this Agbonlahor is better. Was pleasantly surprised a year or 2 later to hear of his EPL debut.pires7 wrote:Abonglahor was here when Villa ripped it up

That Villa side were worthy champs, great team.
Also another lad from one of the Japanese sides, Morimoto currently plays for Catania in Serie A. He was 15 when he came to Adelaide.
Re: World Soccer Challenge
It was a real short lad, who was in the England u/19 team at the time who was the big billed star. He did some classy little things to set up goals but good luck playing up front in the EPL at his size. AC Milan trained at our school, was pretty cool to watch. You could see it was natural that their first touch always put the ball in perfect position for the next one.
Re: World Soccer Challenge
Remember little Mirco Carbone?? hahaha this thread is bringing back some memories. Would love to check up on some of these guys and see how they're doing now.pires7 wrote:It was a real short lad, who was in the England u/19 team at the time who was the big billed star. I'd love to see the current Lazio primavera team come down. If they don't blow it, there are 4-5 players there that could be potential 10-season+ Serie A players and Azzurri regulars.
