I still have a tape (cassette some might remember them!) of
this song I taped off the radio back in 1983 ! (in the shed somewhere ?)

Veronica Guerin Soundtrack - Fields Of Athenry
This version is eerie, perfect in the movie !
Veronica Guerin was shot dead by irish drug dealer's On June 26, 1996, while Guerin was sitting in her red Opel Calibra at an intersection on the Naas Dual Carriageway, a few miles outside Dublin, one of two men sitting on a motorcycle beside her car fatally shot her five times. Guerin's murder caused outrage, and Taoiseach John Bruton called it "an attack on democracy". The following criminal investigation led to over 150 arrests and a hunt against Irish organised criminal gangs.

I still give sex packets a run, I have it in my car.

I cant believe the disc isnt worn after all these years!

Also, I cant believe that for years I never realised Humpty Hump and Shock G were the same person! Genious!!
yeah - hes certainly an eccentric one!

DU have officially retired so they wont be producing or touring anymore. its a shame cause i missed their last show here in Adelaide a couple of years back

anyway, if your a fan of Shock G, be sure to check out his solo album (if you havent already) titled 'Fear of a Mixed Planet'. it was released a while ago, and its definately a worthy buy if your a DU fan

Numa Numa - Dragostea Din Tei

This song is a Romanian song that was a smash hit in Japan in 2005. I don't know why, but 5RTI's saturday football show played it during their broadcast today !

no, no mention of chicken wings is THIS power ballad.

yeah i've got some new equipment, been buying bits and pieces here and there for a while now, and i can finally use them all

got a PreSonus Firebox, with Cubase LE software. Recording my Roland RD-300sx into my brand new Mac. quality is amazing.

i can recommend the Firebox to you. it's great, and you can find it at a decent price (if you look hard enough)

Little ditty about Maralyn Monroe.

Image

Written after riots in USA where rubber bullets were used !

Image
10CC - Silly Love
Song about how silly love is (sometimes) !

Nearly forgot one of my 10CC favourites.
Lol Creme plays the rarely seen "gizmotron" on this song.
I bought a gizmotron back then but it the rubber components
in it deteriorated and it has fallen apart over the years.
One day I might try to find someone who might be able to fix it !

Image
10CC - Old Wild Men
They wrote this song about people like Eric Clapton and Mick Jagger.
What would they be like in 40 years time, singing from wheelchairs etc..

Unlike Cactus World News who were Worlds Apart. I thought this band would make it really big. How wrong I was.

They re-recorded the song with a slightly different arrangement and English lyrics
written by Pete Sinfield who wrote for King Crimson and Greg Lake (of ELP and early King Crimson).
It was called The World Became The World, even sounds a bit like Greg Lake.
Compare to The Court Of The Crimson King ?

Stone Sour - S/T

Its the side project of Corey Taylor - the singer for Slipknot. Not as heavy as 'Knot and certainly a lot more melodic
