Now, if i was in this position for starters a push coming from behind, his head would have dropped and his face/head would have been no where near the ball.
Second, You cannot and i mean cannot in the rules of Football turn around to a ref and clap your hands (Sarcastically) regardless of whats going on, whether he was wrong in making the decision DO NOT clap at the ref unless its a genuine clap. We know that "The Girl" (Ronaldo) did not do this action genuinly. The hand ball in my opinion should have been a straight red card. He'll get two games for disrespecting the ref

haha - straight red card for that, ur a n0b. the first card wasn't for clapping the ref it was for the tackle, the second one is a matter of opinion, in my opinion i don't believe he was trying to score by handling the ball nor was he trying to gain and advantage or hinder an apponent so i wouldn't have booked him. i thought the ref didn't use any common sense but thats probably due to the stupid clapping in his face ronaldo did after the first booking.

how did the ref not use any common sense, he didn't blow his whistle, ronaldo wasn't fouled and he clearly raised his hands to the ball, definate yellow card, even if he wasn't booked earlier or clapped the ref he would of got a yellow. where was ronaldo's common sense he knew he was already on a yellow?

Robinhio wasn't adventurous enough IMO, he still completed 95% or more of his passes just doesn't have the talent around him to put together good link play, Rafeal did a good job.

Unless there are two teams with the same name you might presume it was the same team. What if they scored from 3 set peices against Arsenal, would have nothing to do with link play ability anyway

It was obvious, to me anyway, that Ronaldo heard a whistle and stopped the ball with his hands. With his abillity in the air he had no reason not to go for goal.
And delibarate handball is not aa automatic yellow card offence. Only if it stops an advantage for the opposition or he is trying to gain an advantage is it a yellow.

You sort of have it, its not that Robinho wasnt adventurous enough - he tried to create because Ireland was getting shutdown. Robinho came back into the midfield to try to create while Ireland stood still at the top of the box....Your right in that he completed most of his passes....and yes Rafael played very very well - v confident youngster, wouldnt mind seeing Fabio.

the ref didn't use any common sense because it was clearly obvious that ronaldo wasn't trying to gain any advantage from using his hands. not every intentional hand ball is a straight booking. learn the rules or stop being biased.

no need to get abusive because you have a different opinion. the fact u hate ronaldo shouldn't influence whether the you think the ref made the right decision or not. if ronaldo had been sent off for clapping sarcastically at the ref after the first card fair enough no complaints was a stupid thing to do but the actual sending off i believe was harsh whether you like ronaldo or not.

how was i being biased? as much as i do dislike ronaldo it's for his attitude not his skill if he just got on with the game he would gain a lot more respect. he made a stupid decision and got punished for it, i'm pretty sure it won't be last controversial incident he finds himself in. if it was anybody else i would of said the same thing why would you do that?
