Jeez you can end up feeling old on these forums...and confused...I'm still not sure what this thread is really about.

Always supported Chelsea since I was 4 or 5 because my Mum and paternal grandfather did. My old man had been an Arsenal supporter since he was a kid in the 1930s. I still have Chelsea v Red Star Belgrade programme from the early 1950s that my grandfather and Dad went to see together. My Mum only ever went one match - to see Gravesend and Northfleet play - she fainted when a player had his leg broken right in front of her.

When I was at high school in SE London in the late 60s/ early 70s, Div 1 supporters were in the minority. 50% of the kids supported Charlton, 25% supported Millwall and the remaing few of us supported the various Div 1 teams - but I can't remember anyone supporting Manchester United.

My interest in the game waned over the years, but Chelsea were always still number one even If I could only name a couple of players from the squad each year.

Then along comes son of a Manalishi and just to prove what goes around comes around, the little bugger decides to side with his grandfather and support Arsenal. So now a healthy rivalry exits in our household and I'm more into supporting Chelsea than ever.

So what has this to do wuth anything?...who cares?...but you can stick yer bandwagon up yer arsenal.

People want to critisies because i once supported Leeds, Who i only supported because i had an older family member who supported.. it happened to be i started supporting chelsea the yr of Abrom... So this means i jumped because money flew in??

This plastic fuck was a Leeds supporter, Leeds got relegated so He decided to follow Chelsea, which just so happened to be the year Roman took over. Then he got a barrage of abuse and tried to justify that he was somehow a Chelsea supporter through and through since 93. He became a Chelsea supporter because he admired Lampard. Lampard joined Chelsea in 2001.
Basically the bloke is a fucking tool who can't read, write. His grammar is the equivalent of a 5 year old and he has the audacity to call other people mongs.

I don't understand why some fans have to accuse other fans of being "bandwagons", I myself have been guilty of this in the past and to be honest I think it's just a way of affirming any doubts we may have of being true fans. Different people come to football for different reasons, some come for the grandeur of the occassion (eg people who attend the world cup final purely because it's a huge event), people who feel a connection towards their home town, heritage, place where they live now or all of the above (eg people like me) and some enjoy football purely for the beauty that football can sometimes produce (eg those people who supported Los Galacticos and who now support Chelsea or Manchester United). Why then is it that we should criticise those of a group that we do not belong to especially because in some circumstances those who switch teams to enjoy the beauty that a certain team produces often end up supporting one of the teams for the rest of their lives.
