certainly right there avenell - Rob S has been great - another double today to take his tally to 7 in 6 games.avenell_road wrote:No absolute stand out players in Div 2 this season from what I've seen, but a lot of good players. If Saraceno had played the whole season he'd have come very close.
the Batman (Rob S) and Robin (Johnny Lipari) combo have been on fire since they started playing together.
Johhny Lipari another 2 goals today as well to take his tally to 13 - if the refs have been taking notice he would have to be a chance.

have to agree the goal michael s scored was part of a fantastic build up with the 30 yard switch by Rob S, 1st time volley lay off by Johnny Lipari and the 1st time half volley by mick........superb.......
every1 will be fighting to get into the 1st 11 this week - such a huge game it is going to be a great week at training...........

Too hard to pick, I have a feeling a player from West Beach may get it. Given the way the top 5 have played this year, it would be worthy of any player from those teams to get it.
Just had a look at the ladder with a round to go. I'd like to know the last time it was this close for the title and promotion.
Some tough games this week for the top 5 teams with 4 of them playing each other in the last round. Tough week for the Vista and Farm coaches, hate to be in there positions with both A's and B's having such important games. Bulldog, what will you really do?? Sorry to say this because you've had a great year, but I think promotion for Vista is just out of reach.
Not sure what is the game of the round, must be a tie for West Beach v Fulham and Vista v Ingle Farm.
This forum will make for interesting reading next Monday, let alone this week.
All the best to all the teams...

Can't see Vista stacking their team - Promotion to Division 1 is far more important than having reserves win the league! Also the reserve players have got them this far, although I believe Ingle Farm were the best reserve side this year, after a slow start they have done very well. Don't think you can ignore the PHE v Knights game either pressure on PHE with Knights unbeaten since Fulham

Our reserve team is more than capable of winning the league without any such stacking. Farm would love for us to stack reserves though given that it would hand the league championship to their first team.
no slacko whilst i am a toss bag,the ressies have earnt there spot in the league and even i wouldn't do that to them, they've been up there all year and sunday is the real test for them.got some very young lads, mixed with 4 rather aged players, and most couldn't have seen the year coming to this sort of finish but here we are.AND GOOD LUCK TO THEM.WE NEED SOMEONE SINGING ON SUNDAY.Slacko wrote:Too hard to pick, I have a feeling a player from West Beach may get it. See your point avenell_road, I figured that would be the case but with promotion all but gone unless you beat the Farm 15 - nil or so, it seems your stuck in Div 2 for another year. It would be good to win some sort of silver wear for the club, a little consilation to the boys for a good year all round. No doubt you will be up there again next year fighting for promotion. I think all you need to add to your current team for next year is a prolific goal scorer and you will definately be in the running for Div 1.
Knight7, massive game this week for your lads, you could decide the fate of the East after they have lead the league from almost the go and maybe hand second place to West Beach. Bofore anyone jumps on me, yes the Westies have a chance to win the league but I couldn't see them knocking more than one or two past an in form Fulham, if that.
Sorthern Knights could almost be given the tag of the giant killers if you could bump of the East this week.

Yeah we'll we have beaten Farm, drawn twice with Vista, beaten Fulham, drawn with PHE and West Beach so not beyond us! A good first year, enjoyable with very little agro or cheating - to be fair to Pumas they were good on Sunday - no trouble, although Frankie was missing

if Knight7 wrap up of the game against Pumas is correct then they would be even money to beat the East.robbo wrote:Yeh even a draw knight.. cmon boys!!
With Knights completely dominating Pumas and last week East very lucky to escape with a draw against Pumas it makes for a big game between knights and east this week - be a real test for the new boys to DIV 2 this year.
A win to the knights and they could look back at the season and say it was more than successful after coming up.

The Limnos No8 is the clubs best chance. I hope he does but I think it will be a close call and some players may find themselves unlucky cause some of their team mates taking points off them. Who knows how the refs select them anyway. Some cant even call a good game, let alone pick the games bests.Pocket Aces wrote: also may be tony from limnos a chance maybe even stef?
