these are massive outs

If Arsene puts Toure at RB i'll kill (if i could) clearly chuck Eboue back there, where he was actually half decent

not really,
*gallas is playing shit and djourou (i know his in doubt 2) or song deserve that spot on form
*bendtner only comes of the bench at the moment, just gives vela the chance to be the one who come on, which dont get me wrong im a huge fan of nikolas but vela looks just as if not better.
*sagna is the massive out, seen as gallas is out i dont think wenger will waist his thime putting toure there, he doesnt need any replacement on the wings or at dm if we have diaby back so to ensure he has some experience in cb toure will start in the middle with imo either song(fingers crossed) or silvestre with eboue and clichy on eother side of them

so at the moment we should look like this

almunia
eboue toure song(silvestre) clichy
walcott cesc(if injured will prob see denilson or ramsey) diaby nasri
adebayor rvp (if injured will prob see vela)

subs
djourou
wilshere
ramsey (if starting maybe bischoff)
denilson
silvestre
fabianski
vela

yea a little stretched but not that bad imo.

you are right when you say, Gallas has been playing shit and bendtner is a back up to RVP and Ade, but he can still make a difference on the bench. I'd love to see Vela start, would be quality for the young lad/

i agree with your starting line up, he might not even start walcott, put eboue right mid, toure right back and silvestre and song CB.....imagine that, nightmare

haha dw i've had a few comments on them :P

good win from our boys, we could've equalised in the 1st half but didn't find our goal, but we certainly found the net in the 2nd half, a good recovery and let's hope Kolo and Samir are ok otherwise we might be in a bit more trouble

'I was confident we could change the game'

On coming from behind to win…
"What was very important today was that the team has shown personality by being 1-0 down. We played our season today, we could not afford to drop a point.

"The way we responded when we were 1-0 down was of course vital. I wasn’t nervous at half time because I had confidence and belief that we would change the game."

On Walcott’s impact…
"I felt that it is a bit of a shortcut because I believe that the game changed before he came on. Everton had a strong start but we had three or four chances in the first half and in the last 20 minutes of the first half. You could see we were on top and that our domination would certainly increase during the second half.

"Theo came on and did very well and had an impact on the game of course but I feel the whole team played very well. It was a good test today for the team because it was a smashing game against a good Everton side. We were not only good today but we have show personality and mental strength which will be very important for the rest of the season.

"I don’t deny that I am happy and I am the first one to say that Walcott did very well when he came on. It is difficult to measure that and I believe that the whole time had constant pressure in the second half and that did not come from only one man."

On his defensive tactics…
"We were 1-0 up against Hull and we lost the game by sloppy defending. I felt that the team needs reassurance first defensively. We were in a position where we had to attack in the second half and then suddenly we look more balanced. If I decide to move Emmanuel Eboue into midfield at the start it is because I wanted a bit of defensive security. You can say to me it didn’t work and I would say ‘yes we are 1-0 down’. I knew that we could come back and score goals."

On Silvestre’s debut…
"I felt he was like the rest of the team at the start; a little bit nervous. In the first 20 minutes I thought my team were a little bit nervous. Like the team, Silvestre grew throughout the game and he had an outstanding second half."

On Hibbert’s challenge on Denilson
"It was not a good challenge but I don’t think the challenge deserved the red card. The addition of the challenge and Hibbert’s reaction, altogether, the bill could be a red."

On his injury problems…
"For Tuesday, I don’t believe we will get William Gallas or Kolo Toure back. [Nicklas] Bendtner maybe, [Johan Djourou] maybe. [Samir] Nasri could be fit for Tuesday. Toure twisted a ligament in his shoulder and he looks to be out. We have to assess that tomorrow morning but it doesn’t look too good."

On seeing Chelsea run riot at the Riverside…
"For me, big results like that have no meaning. 5-0 Is not the difference between Middlesbrough and Chelsea. I watched the first 20 minutes and you could see that Middlesbrough has one of these days. They had a bad day at the office today. Every little deflection went for Chelsea and they didn’t ever need to get out of second gear to win the game. I don’t believe we saw the real Middlesbrough today, they are a good side and it is a difficult place for everybody to go."

Yaya Toure: I'm an Arsenal target

By John Cross 16/10/2008

Yaya Toure claims that Arsene Wenger wants to sign him up for Arsenal.

Barcelona midfielder Toure says his brother, Arsenal defender Kolo, 27, and boss Wenger have both made phone calls to try and persuade him to make the switch to the Gunners.

Toure rejected the chance to join his brother at Arsenal last summer.

However the 25-year-old is now re-considering his future as he is no longer a first-team regular at the Nou Camp under new manager Pep Guardiola.

Italian giants Juventus are also looking at Toure, who wants to hold showdown talks with Barcelona sporting director Txiki Begiristain to see if he has a future with the Spaniards.

Toure insisted: "Wenger and Kolo called in the summer to convince about this chance - but at that moment I was happy at Barcelona."

And Toure's agent Dimitri Selluk said: "Yaya does not have a problem with Barcelona, but his only desire is to play regularly and therefore he wants to see if he is in their plans."

Selluk claims that Arsenal had an offer turned down in the summer, while Juventus are ready to pay £7.5million for the Ivory Coast international.

Gunners eye move for PSV starlet Ibrahim

PSV Eindhoven star Ibrahim Afellay is high on the shopping list of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

The £6million-rated playmaker has been watched by Gunners scouts on several occasions and he's expected to leave the Eredivisie at the end of the current season.
Wenger was linked with a move for the 22-year-old last year but the midfielder decided to sign a one-year contract extension with the Dutch club in December and is ready to revive the bid for Afellay.

Interest mounts in Dortmund star
A number of Premier League clubs are looking to open talks with German goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller in January, skysports.com understands.

The 28-year-old is rated as one of the best goalkeepers in Germany and is on the verge of an international call-up.

Borussia Dortmund are desperate to hand Weidenfeller a new long-term contract with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.

However, the former Kaiserslautern shot-stopper is set to take advantage of the fact that he is free to talk to rival clubs in January.

Dortmund have offered Weidenfeller a three-year deal - but with clubs from England and Italy showing an interest, he could be set to depart his homeland.

A number of English scouts have been in attendance at the Signal Iduna Park in recent weeks and have been impressed with that they have seen and the fact he will be a free transfer next summer is sure to appeal.

German sources have claimed the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, West Ham, Bolton, Middlesbrough and Newcastle are amongst those interested.

Zdravko Kuzmanovic

Fiorentina midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic is a target for Arsenal and Milan according to his agent, but could sign a new deal with La Viola soon.

The Serbian is under contract with the Serie A side until 2011 but his representative Marko Naletilic has confirmed rivals Milan are monitoring his situation.

Arsene Wenger is also a huge admirer of the young midfielder according to the agent, who understands 21-year-old Kuzmanovic is viewed as potential star of the future.

“Kuzmanovic is a good young player and him trying to play for such a big club as Milan is normal,” Naletilic told Lady Radio.

“Kuz is being followed by the Rossoneri, but Arsenal’s coach Wenger also finds him attractive.

“Anyway we have an agreement with Fiorentina to renew his contract.

good to see we are rumoured with a number of quality midfielders.

Silvestre's experience and just him being in the squad gives us an extra dimension in defence.

Wenger said he uses Eboue at RM to give us a more defensive soundness on the right, but clearly Eboue is a RB and plays his best football there, he needs to play there always when Sagna is out. Song is a central minded player weather that is in the midfield or defence, he is not a wide player.

Walcott was brilliant, Nasri is a star, Clichy is just about the best left back in the world

Best in the world, in my opinion.

You can see the difference in having Nasri on a wing, much more dangerous. It has been a while since we have had that, someone who could play the wing well.

Clichy & Nasri combo looks the goods.

Daily Updates & Analysis Of Arsenal’s Reserves & Youth
Arsenal & AC Milan Keen To Utilize Beckham Influence•October 19, 2008 • 14 Comments

Arsenal and AC Milan have throw their hats into the ring by offering David Beckham the opportunity to keep in shape ahead of England’s forthcoming friendly against Germany, by using their training facilities.

But whilst both outfits have shown generosity in inviting the LA Galaxy midfielder into their headquarters, it seems the two Club’s have very different motives.

Arsenal are especially keen for Beckham to return to Colney next month, as his professional influence no doubt had a positive effect on the young Gunners - who were training with the first team last Winter. David’s ‘Beckingham Palace’ home is just a short drive from the state of the art training centre, meaning the deal would be mutually beneficial.

Indeed, when quizzed about the subject during his pre-match press conference on Friday, Arsène Wenger publicly extended the offer to Beckham.

“I have not heard about him returning, but he is always welcome back.”

“His behaviour was spot on, he was a top-level professional and he earned a lot of respect here.”

Milan have confirmed speculation that they have also offered the former England skipper a similar deal, although unlike Arsenal, AC see the arrangement as more of trial period, with a view to potentially signing David.

“If Beckham would like to train with us, there wouldn’t be a problem for me. I confirm that during a summer there was a negotiation to make him become a Milan player, but it did not go through.” - said manager Carlo Ancelotti

Fabio Capello also talked about his professional attitude, which would improve any group of players according to the Italian. During his time with the Gunners, Sanchez Watt, Kieran Gibbs, Jack Wilshere and Mark Randall had spells working with the 33-year-old, the latter even stayed behind for extra free-kick training.

It’s not yet known what Beckham will decide to do as yet, but with Galaxy’s MLS campaign coming to a close yesterday, a decision over his plans for the next two months should be announced shortly.

Fabregas - Contract story is mischief-making

Cesc Fabregas has dismissed reports that he has turned down a new contract as "mischief-making".

It was suggested in Sunday's newspapers that the Spanish midfielder had refused a deal, perhaps paving the way for a move away from Emirates Stadium. However the 21-year-old has flatly denied the story.

"A newspaper report suggesting that I have rejected a new contract is untrue," he said.

"The article is just mischief-making. Everybody knows I have a long-term contract and that I am happy here. I'm focussed on doing my best for Arsenal."

Steven Defour's agent has claimed Arsenal have joined the chase to sign the Standard Liege midfielder.

The 20-year-old is already a full Belgium international, in addition to being Liege's captain, and has been tipped for a move to the Premier League.

Everton, who signed Marouane Fellaini from Liege before the close of the transfer window, have been linked with a bid, along with Middlesbrough.

Ajax and Palermo have also shown an interest in the youngster, whose agent Paul Stefani says Arsenal and French champions Lyon have now entered the hunt.

"Steven Defour is regularly linked with other clubs," said Stefani in La Derniere Heure. "After Ajax, Middlesbrough and Palermo, there are bigger teams mentioned.

"Lyon and Arsenal came to scout Steven, and they decided to return to watch him again."
Anything could happen

Though there have been no firm offers for Defour, a bid in excess of £8million will reportedly tempt Standard into selling the highly-rated midfielder.

Stefani added: "There is nothing concrete.

"If an offer does arrive, Standard should really consider it. If the deal matches all parties, his departure is very possible.

"He could move in January, you never know. The Fellaini transfer was all concluded in a week, it just depends on if the club are willing to put the effort in, but anything could happen."
