Any news on the JPL Cup round just after Easter?

Maybe Alison thinks that all the small pieces of paper with club names on are to line her Easter nest for Easter Bunny to place eggs on.

It may or may not have meant to be funny Bill but the fact remains that the cup rounds have not been released yet and the game is for the middle weekend of school holidays.....many families are trying to make arrangements and are unable to do so. Given that many people are going to be away as the Easter weekend starts Thursday night it makes it very difficult to get information out!

First named teams are at home.
All Olympic's Junior games on April 23rd will not be played
due to the Orthodox Easter.
All cup games to be played within 14 days of the
original date. Dtes & times to be advised.
U/11's to be played at a time to be advised.
U/8-9-10's cancelled til further notice.

WTB have opted to take FFSA's Religious Option to postpone games also, U12 and U14 Cup Game only due to both teams having up to 6 players each of Orthodox origin (not only Greek, but Russian and Serbian players (x 4 also!)... both games to hopefully be played on the tuesday anzac day night.

U13 and U15 cup games will go ahead, U17 will only go ahead if Cobras do not postpone.

heard that i think its Western Strikers may have one team postponing and White City may have two teams postponing.

Why don't the FFSA on Orthodox Easter schedule a normal league round instead of the cup, and let the clubs with a mainly orthodox background play each other in this round.

You would then cut the number of postponements in half.

e.g - Olympic v White City - 2 clubs to organise rescheduling rather than Olympic v Metro & White City v Playford now 4 clubs are involved in resceduling.

Catholic and Orthodox Easter is on the same weekend next year, nice for the Catholics to finally go by the real calender for once

Lets not get into a religious debate here boys and girls... Football is the priority, and except in case of death or serious illness/injury, the game should go on... If religion is that important it should be taken into account in the draw.
