  funny swan

beleive me, i wouldnt be ashamed admitting it if i was a part and or a member of a recognized FIFA organization (FFSA)

myself along with others have our own oppinions and know all about the cheats in this comp and the under the table deals at Grange

at the end of the day the SAASL have made some very bad decissons and turned a blind eye to alot of incidents which have cost clubs relegation.
Ohhh Joga Bonito Ronaldinho! How will you stop that? Socceroos? Or I mean Soccer Whos? Ha ha ha ha ha!”

the details and fee structure was presented at the recent fed club's meeting.

from what i can see the fees are very reasonable,

better insurance coverage for players and clubs (no liability fee saving clubs up to $5000 a year on facilities insurance - $20m liability cover, no director's insurance fee saving clubs up to $1000 a year) all covered in player insurance costs of around $15, Loss of income around $250 a week for 6 weeks or somehting, SAASL currently $150 a week for a fortnight.

FFA qualified referees, all other competition referees will no longer be FFA qualified or registered, only those in FFA run competitions in Aus to be recognised as qualified.

Team Nomination Fee 255.00
FFA National Registration Fee (NRF) 20.00
FFSA Player Licence Fee 18.15
FFSA Player Insurance 14.85 (includes Personal Accident ,Public Liability,Directors & Officers & Capital Benefits)

So really it would cost a team of 16 players - 70 total a year, with 20 going to the FFA and another 15 for insurance, there for 35 is the total ffsa fee per player.

It costs me $6 a game of futsal for my kids to play and they play between 15-20 games, totalling $120 a season in fees.

This sounds very reasonable and good. Where can someone find the official details, other than being at the meeting, cause its worth looking at.

Just returned from one of the special meetings (at Sturt Marion) the SAASL is holding to keep clubs, people informed of where things are at.
Some of the comments and figures being posted in this forum are way off the mark.
I suggest you go along and hear the information first hand !

Exactly !
Interesting you picked the first bit of this post and didnt respond to the later. You would be a good politician.

Whats the SAASF's response to the proposal from last nights meeting?

Not interested, come back again with another proposal

or

SAASF come up with what they want out of amalgamation and provide feedback.

or

just not interested because there is no benifit from the SAASF and stay as you are.

Its easy to sit back and say NO.

Now why should i have to believe anything the SAASL have to say about FFSA's fees.

For all i know they could be blown up deliberately by the SAASL to put us off of FFSA.

I'd much rather see the facts and figures from FFSA directly.

sorry but the insurance payments from the saasl you posted are inaccurate. I suffered a broken leg a few years back and was off work for 8 weeks, the league covered me $150 a week for 6 weeks, the first two weeks they don't cover, had i been off for longer they would've covered me for longer. at the end of the day if ur not happy with the insurance cover then take out ur own income protection.

Marroned you are in the box seat to negotiate what you want/need out of the deal.

Im not convinced that your representative know what you want.

also you take the assistance from FFSA trained technicians (players) to keep your vehicle performing, but you dont want to assist to train them.

Trust me Malcolm I am in contact on a regular basis with my representative and they know exactly what I want. FFSA cant run their own show, why would anyone in their right mind want to let them run our show. I wouldnt even let them run our canteen! Sorry bad managment and bad public relations to me is a sign that all is not well as the FFSA.

Once again i will state a fact that is always ignored. Different products and different marketplace. Your heading down the wrong road. For a mere $110k a year each me and Swannsong could market your plan and negotiate a lot better that the current FFSA board are doing. After all its all about the money. Isnt it.

Dont worry nugget I still luv ya. Love anyone with Pride and passion

I dont get the fact that you are willing to take federation players to support your league but you dont want to help in the development of the game in general.

Im not saying you should jump into a deal that does not look after your best interest. but you do have some responsibility to the betterment of the game, or not.

Nugget u done get it. From your post, its all about nuggets world. Based upon that your not qualified to comment on matter on the whole association, only matter to do with your club.

Also i did not know marrooned was an ex chairman, so until you said it id didnt understand any of that part. That was a funny statement to make. Thanks for filling me in on marroons cred. Now there two chairman in your league with little foresight.

about me
started at the downs as a junior.
went to federation at age 13 - end of playing as a senior.
currently reside in the over 35's.

Coached seniors and little ones within the federation. also help out some e+d kid looking for extra training.

I see how much the kids need to pay to be in the federation and elite setup. Heaps.
And at the momment maybe the best kids dont get to go away with fed clubs / state teams due to cost.

I suggest the SAASF brokers the amalgamation to ensure that the money contributed to the one federation goes to the kids.
Then the SAASF can be proud of supporting grass roots football.

Also nugget no need to abuse me matey. this is a good healthy debate. But is suppose you cant change what u are.

Mr McDonald you are obviously 1. A pot stirrer 2. FFSA lover 3. Knucklehead with no idea (maybe all 3).

Firstly we dont take federation players they come to a club they can enjoy the later part of their soccer life for whatever reasons. SAASL (not SAASF) clubs have been involved in the development of the game & players (who also go onto play feds) just as long as FFSA and so we have and we always be here for the betterment of the game.

Here's the problem you have a bloke with a baseball bat who wants to get his way and if he doesnt he want to start his own game. We the SAASL clubs have the ball and dont want to play by his rules so we are staying home.

The easy answer is just to put a FFSA sticker over the SAASL one and leave everthing the same but that aint gunna happen.

So when the bloke with the baseball bat puts it away and gets himself a soccer ball and learn a little more about our sport in SA then maybe things will happen for the better.

Again lefty, Broker the to deal benifit/safeguard yourselves. Easy.

as for a stirrer, where have i stirred i have just asked for what the amateurs would want out of the deal, and i havne t received one comment to that other than 'dont take our money'.

FFSA lover? I love watching kids develop their skills and then progress through the ranks. I also believe more need to occur from 8-10yo to improve the standard. This needs a unified approach.

As for knuckle head with no idea. The only feed back from u guys is attempted abuse and sooking. Nothing constructive. Oh and advice on running a car. Thanks Marroned

The Chairman of General Motors takes care of his shareholders. He is not in the business of making sure all car manufacturers run well. Chairmen of soccer clubs take care of their members and are not here to prop up other clubs or other financially bankrupt leagues.

It was suggested 10 years ago for the good of football Hawthorn should amalgamate with another struggling club. I was not a good idea but uninformed people said it was the only option. Pigs Ars e. All that was, was an easy out option for people with no forsight. Like you Mr Mcdonald.

This is a two way street, how many E&DJSC and Southern Districts "developed" boys end up playing Federation League Football, I think you might be surprised. Elizabeth Downs are a good example of that, they have developed players that go on to Federation level then return back to the Downs in the twilight of their playing days.

My debate is a based upon bringing it all under one banner, to improve the standard of football as a whole. Not taking your money. But it seems that the only thing on your mind.
