nugget, since you were a little less abusive this time i'll do the same... Hmmmmm president hey, you must be a very powerfull man then, i'll take it easy then...

look Mr Nugget, im annoyed (so are plenty of others) at the way the SAASL have treated the clubs in this league in my 10 years involvement , its been like this for the amount of years i've been involved within the SAASL.

as i mentioned earlier, you should make contact with the clubs that have been relegated and lost titles because of the bullshlt and blind eye that the SAASL turns. They are the victims, the unfortunate clubs that have been hard done by, my club fortunately, have not been around long enough to have experienced any of this, but im sure our turn will come!

as i said, all clubs talk and maybe you should speak to the reps of these clubs to get the facts, you'll be surprised Mr President!

in regards to "Billy Baily" posts etc, i have nothing to do with whoever that is

Guus H, is entitled to his opinion, and he does make some valid points. The FFSA and SAASL being two seperate entities will be a nightmare and damage football in our state.

"It aint broke don't fix it", the bloke that posted that, can't expect much from you. We are about improving things, not being sheep and following the flock, cause its nice and warm.

The SAASL has some major issues, stop thinking/believing they don't exist. You want a list, I can give you one, but they've all been posted before.

I will be at the SAASL general meeting, I will voice my opinion and I will offer my services in order to improve OUR league.

Well put marooned - until a formal blueprint is laid out, the debate is just going to go around in circles.

I don't think anyone is against the "concept" it's just that you don't build something with a concept you build it from an accurate plan and then that plan needs to be approved, even then the foundations on which you build are critical.
Along the lines of marooned, some of the "wheels" are operating reasonably well it's possibly the vehicle you are proposing to attach them to seems to be a little faulty at the moment.

Out of all the posts on this topic I find this one the most alarming - No Ref, No Play fair enough for Federation, perhaps even for Reserves but Under 9's!!!!!

Talk about taking the fun out of the game at an early age, surely people with a bit of sense can change this?

i haven t seen the proposal so i cant comment on the that side of things. Have u swannsong?

So what would you pro SAASF forum members want out of this deal?

1) safe guard on your mountain of cash and assets'.
2) safe guard on future monies raised through amateur comp
3) free entry into FFSA games
4) inclusion in coaching development programs
5) cheaper FFSA fees for the kiddies. = more kids getting better coaching.

any more.

I can see the point of the broken car thing, but i can see benifits from being one entity for the progression of the game over all.

SAASL has its problems but nothing major, nothing that cant be fixed.
We are happy with the leadership and direction the SAASL is heading.
We enjoy the concept of local teams going toe to toe.
We can field teams that have players that want to play for the enjoyment of the game and are not interested in becoming superstars.
We like the fact that it is a cost friendly competition.
Each suburb can have its own team. Its own identity.
We are not dictated to by sponsors.
I could go on with hundreds of reasons.

I have no problems with another amateur comp starting up. Its not for us though.
As for coming under one umbrella, well we have our own umbrella. Its like saying all car makers should come under one umbrella. Why? we cater for a different market.

I read it. NSW has how many association/league etc? heaps.

We are only talking about 6-7 associations in SA. So the hurdles to get over are not as big.

Not the same nugget.
