I am looking to coach an amateur team

Post by Roberto Ayala »

Hi all. Long time reader, first time poster in this forum.

I have recently moved to Adelaide from Sydney and I am looking to coach for season 2009, preferably on Saturdays. I have experience coaching various sides at an amateur level from Botany United, APIA, Melchester, Leichardt, Cocord and a few others over the past 10 years. I am of Latin American and European background. My English Speaking skills are quite good and have improved dramatically since arriving in Australia 18 years ago. I enjoy coaching with a bit of flair and like to maintain alot of ball work in training sessions. My moto is to get fit with the ball in a game scenario and no endless running drills. I would also love to introduce much of the Latin footballl that I have been exposed to. I am residing in the North Western suburbs but am able to travel, this is Adelaide after all.

If anyone is interested on behalf of their club, feel free to send me a Private Message.

Regards
Roberto

I am not Roberto Ayala. We just happen to share the same first name. We are not related however I have been watching him play since he was a very young boy. I am good friends with and a former teammate of his uncle Ricardo.

I have received a few messages already with potential interest and would like to see more before I begin to pursue them confidently.

More importantly is there really a team called Melchester in NSW, does Roy Race play for them?

If you are anything like Roberto Ayala himself you are QUALITY!

You are not interested in coaching federation, or juniors at all?

Thanks. Yes I do think he is a very good player. Regarding Federation coaching or Juniors. I think things are taken at a more serious level. I am really after a club that has a good groups of boys so we can all drink beer after the game. But I'm a very passionate man, I am not out there to lose a game.

I dont think that travel to a Western suburbs based club would be too far
to travel to if you live in NW Adel.
I know of a coach that lives in Exeter.
Or is it spelt EXITER.
Advise for you here Roberto is look in the local rag (messenger paper)
for something to turn up. Expect to travel in SA amateur league. Good luck :)

If you are not from Australia, how do you know about the beer drinking culture

As I said above, I have been here for 18 years. I have well and truly adopted all the AUSSIE culture. But my favourite beer is PERONI.

Of course, you fit in perfectly now.

Ever thought of refereeing, we are short of refs here in Adelaide, maybe you can help.

Yeah Roberto, come down to West Beach, we are apparently winners of the Res cup 2008!!! That's gottta be good a reason as any. :-)

Whilst on the subject of said cup, just thought I'd take the opportunity to inform the Farmers that they have to hand the Res cup over to West Beach as per official breaking news on SSASL website.... http://www.saasl.com.au/frmShowpage.asp ... up_matches

Please deliver said cup to West Beach by the weekend if at all possible....

Ha haaa haa haa haaaa!!!

Thanks.

Plympton, Yeah right.
You knobs went from Division 2 to Division 4 in a blink of an eye.
You are quick to blame your coaches, rather than looking at your personal performances.
You guys have gone through three coaches in two years.
In fact you got rid of the two coaches that you had in 2008 mid-season, because your leadership group thought that they could do a better job.
Where did this get your club? RELEGATED, down to the dregs of the Sunday league.
The Plympton Bulldogs should focus on Aussie Rules Football. because thats what the club revolves around.

 another hero who creates a new username to stir the pot!

Plympton have been unlucky to end back in Div 4.

Midway through the season Plympton were struggling, so getting new coaches was probably a good idea.

With any luck the Bulldogs will be back up there soon - I love playing against the fuckers!

Just shows how professional our club is, blame the coach first then worry about where we stand.
Sounds like most european clubs to me. Do I need to offer examples.
