0-0 at the half, Adailton isn't too bad from the set piece.

Great win - super impressive even if it wasnt all that great in the second half.

No lavezzi, maggio, gargano (only 20 mins), vitale, baby cannavaro, denis (20 mins) so it makes the win all the more sweet.

Im over Zalayeta - we need another striker next season.

Russotto was impressive and caused problems the whole time he was on.

Bring on Benfica, Genoa will be a much harder game away next sunday.

Start 11 In Panchina

Gianello Iezzo
Santacroce
Rinaudo
Aronica Cannavaro
Montervino Vitale
Pazienza Maggio
Blasi
Hamsik
Mannini Gargano
Pià Denis
Zalayeta Lavezzi

Reja loves Montervino. He would have him starting every bloody week if he could!!
I cant see why he couldnt play Dalla Bona in his position but reja isnt a big fan of the ExChelsea lad so its no suprise.
Ive probably been Della Bona's biggest fan and am gutted hes not getting a look in. One one hand i want him to leave and stick it up Rejas cuolo but on the other hand knowing hes a Napoli player makes me feel good. He will leave in the January window. hes too good a player to be sitting in the stands. A move to Portsmouth was on the cards but that one there even fell through. He was also linked to Celtic.

7 1st team players rested/injured from the starting line up and we collect maximum points away from home to a Bologna side which will avoid the drop this season. But they need to start scoring and collecting points from home.

Lat season we collected nothing from the bottom 5 clubs and was happy with a point come start the match. Maybe we should be putting that line up on against the bottom 5 clubs more reguraly!!

Napoli fans banned from away games?
The roar when German Denis scored was sick!
A few here, a few there, we make up the numbers.
I cant wait to sample Serie A in March when im over there.

I only wished we had played Milan earlier on in the season, oh and Cagliari!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marino Dedicates Napoli Win To Carmando

Napoli sports director Pierpaolo Marino has dedicated Napoli’s 1-0 win over Bologna to Salvatore Carmando.

Napoli continued their fantastic run of form in the league with a win by a goal to nil away at Bologna, allowing the Partenopei to go second in the table behind Lazio. The Azzurri won the encounter thanks to a late headed goal from Argentinian striker German Denis. A goal was enough to separate the sides, disappointing the struggling Bologna side and exalting the teams from Naples.

After the game Marino commented on the summer market, and what impact it has had on the club so far. “I am very satisfied with the transfer campaign because it is the first time that we have put together a team that is a group of excellent players rather than one great champion,” said Marino.

Marino had a special dedication to make following the win. “I would like to dedicate this game to Salvatore Carmando, who lost his sister yesterday and despite all that was happening to him he was on the bench with us for today’s match, demonstrating his affection for the Napoli colours.”

Carmando is a masseuse that has been with the club for over 25 years and remains one of the most passionate Napoli fans around.

A legend of the club.

guys, you should f*ck the UEFA Cup, keep the form going until January, make a couple of crucial signings and try and push for a CL place.

if we progress to the group stage i fear the league campaign will suffer badly.

squad simply isn't large enough, nor is there enough quality in our depth to compete seriously for a top six finish and a good UEFA cup run.

Bump.

I will enjoy this week. Did I mention Napoli are second in the league. This may not happen again in a hurry, so I will be making the most of it.
