Nah I'm the other defender (number 7) Gino was supposed to be playing upfront but I moved him back to cover you. I think you guys had more to lose and played a bit that way. When we went 1-0 up the idea was to hit you on the counter and it worked, although we also had a couple of first team players back from injury which helped[/quote]

So you were the captain.....I think
Your lads did well to keep composure with some of the decisions. Not our regular ref.

interesting quote from the Farm coach after our game on Sunday on the Ingle Farm website reads.....

After the match, Farm Head Coach Paul Simpson lamented that "Two errors by an individual cost us dearly today."

Bit harsh from the coach especially as from a netural point I would have to question his decision to leave Toursten on the bench for 50 mins and then introduce him when they were 2 down - I would have to say that the coach has some explaining to do as he was not injured.

whoever goes up it is great that with 2 games to go 5 teams can go up and no-one is assured of promotion yet.

At least it makes things interesting.

I agree with youi Robbo it will be tough for us but Fulham can only do what it can because we cant control other results - at least we have given ourselves a half chance.

easy Robbo - I just thought it was harsh for the coach to say that on ur website - if he questions his players on ur website will then its only fair that his decisions are questioned too.

Must say though that it was good of ur coach to come in after the game and congratulate us - what is said on the field is left there and that is the way it should be.

Well done to the very much improved Blue Eagles, good defensive effort from them and yes attacked on the counter , no excuses from us but we were missing our centre half and central midfielder from suspension, full credit to blueys wonder how they would have went with this side all year.Gave our boys a big wake up call !!

Farm's coaches are harsh. Probably why they are good coaches.

Yeh our club are good sports in general, our club always stays back at clubs for a drink no matter the result.

Good sports in general

very well said bigpond.this div as no outright team that has earnt the passage to div 1.in past seasons the top 2 teams have been 9 or so points ahead.this year all teams have dropped points to teams i'm sure they would of thought they shouldn't of.whoever is to go up i believe would have to recruit rather alot of new outright A-team players to stand them in good sted,as depth would be very important(not that i've ever been in div 1  )

but its certainly going to be a stressful end to the season(and coaching carreer)for vista, and half the freakin league.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL INVOLVED.

Yes, Torsten seems to have been on the bench a lot this season, which is surprising.

I agree about Ingle Farm's coach, he's very gracious in defeat, congratulated us too when we beat them which is good to see.

Yea going by how they played agaisnt us there defense is very very solid... and like you have said, if they had that squad all season prolly wouldnt be looking to div.4 next season...

You had a wake-up cal at the right-time  our win against Croatia still puts in the pole position for the second promotion spot...

Anyone know what happned between San Marco and Munno Para? is it that hard for the amateur league to post results on the website a day after?

Pontians 1
Imbros 0

Pontians go through the whole season winning every game at home!

The game against Imbros wasnt the usually tough and hard stuff, it was quite tame and a little dull. The Imbros keeper pulled off two great saves to keep Imbros in it before the break. Pontians scored with about 15 to go and deserved the win.

Good result for Blue Eagles, like I said before they are a good team but got their players too late. 2nd 3rd and 4th on the ladder all lost.

Thanks Gully Boyz!

We certainly needed a good defensive effort cos you boys kept us under the pump for long periods, but particularly at corners and those extremely bloody long throw ins... you boys are very strong in the air and were unlucky not to get a header on target in that first half!

It's a shame we haven't had the same team on the park all season, but if we stick together we'll be back up again soon enough!

Torsten has been away for two weeks on holiday so due to not training, he sat on the pine which he understood. The only other time he has though was the cup game against Westies which he was rested for.

The Farm do have good coaches and Simo can see when he has being beaten by the better team. His comments are fair though, two goalkeeper errors gave Fulham two goals when it was 2-2 with Farm pushing forward and looking for a third. In fairness, Farm could have stolen a win or even a point, Fulham though did deserve there win. Was a fairly good game to watch. Robbie S was a little disappointing though. Was really looking forward to seeing him play. Whilst he did some nice little flicks and touches, he was lazy and made to look good by the hard working wingers and midfield. The Number 10 for Fulham looked good also.

With Vista and East both drawing, it makes for a great last two weeks.

By the way, ignore Robbo, he is an idiot and always has being. They still love him for some reason though.

A terrific effort by the guys to win two on the trot. TTG were very unlucky not to score from a set piece... especially as they were much taller than our side. Unfortunately too little too late for the club, but a great team spirit which will hopefully carry through to next year.

Also, had the young referee again yesterday and did a very good job!

Actually coach but when your playing its the same really. Yes Ref was strange at times but we have had much much worse plus the game meant little to us - Was a fairly funny moment towards the end when he ran grabbed the ball and threw it to one of your players to take a quick free kick oh well!

Very tough on Rob Saraceno - he has scored 5 goals in 5 matches he has played for us which I am sure most forwards would be over the moon about (and Fulham sure is).

rob came back and did some excellent defensive work for us (especially in the 2nd half at corners and set pieces) and has been a team player every game he has played for us.

Any coincidence our other forward has got 7 goals in the past 6 games since Robbie has been playing for us??? - yes he has hit some great form John Lipari for us but Rob always takes the best 2 defenders thus creating gaps for others in our team which we have exploited.

Also still have to quesiton the wisdom of leaving Toasty on the bench cos he has been away for 2 weeks - u dont leave ur top goalscorer on the bench if he is not injured - do u think we would dream of putting Rob S on the bench if he didn't play for us for 2 weeks - no cos goalscorers are hard to come by and especially if they have played most of the season.

I'm suprised (and relieved) that Chops couldnt get one of his headers on target. He had 3 or 4 chances!

Our keeper kept us in the game with a few great saves. If we can keep the same squad next year we should be looking good.

Well done to the ref, Curtis. He did a great job once a again.

Nice to get that winning feeling back. Let's hope we can finish off with another 2 wins.
I need to think of a decent signature....

Robbie has been a great player for us. He has a very good goal scoring record and has been a valuable pick up for the club.

Watched the game from afar and have to say i seen more of Robbies attributes and what he brings to a team, he tracked back and defended well for the team yesterday. The defence played well and looks solid now and doing well considering the first choice keeper is out injured.

Thanks JP, yes we have done the maths as they say our goal at the beggining of the year was 20 points and survival - we have 20 points it's doubtful that we will lose and Macedonia and Pumas will win by enough to put us down -however stranger things have happened - would be nice to be safe after the Pumas game - well done to you guys for a great second half of the season

Well as a pure neutral with no bias to any club (yeah, right!), I hope that there's a draw between West Beach and PHE. With the other challengers winning (not a given!), then that would leave 5 teams going into the last game of the season with a chance of promotion.

In that scenario the Farmers could be top of the league at 3pm and miss out on promotion 90 minutes later.

Then again it could all be over this weekend if the chasers all stumble again. As a 'neutral' fan, I hope not!

how funny would it be if bosna were 2 win both remaining games giving them 17 points

skopje (not being racist) to lose both remaining games leaving them 14 points

pumas to lose both remaining games leaving them with 14 points

actually really funny

but prefer pumas 2 stay up and the other 2, 2 go down
