Who refereeed and how many frees were issued to sturts? Obviously not enough for sturt

some dude named Nelson i think... did a good job. Sturt had some free kicks, Metro had some free kicks... neither team could convert from them though... I just think Metro played the game on their terms and Sturt couldn't break them down... Metro looked the more dangerous team in extra time (maybe better fitness)... and they certainly looked more confident in the penalty shoot-out...

was 3-1 to Metro in penalties. Ordinary game no-one had a real clear cut chance so it was a battle of defences

I must admit I left about 20-25 mins into the prems game. Was a very dull match upto that point so I couldnt convince the rest of the family to stay, could see the writing on the wall by then though - it seemed destined to go to penalties.....

Congrats to all the winners yesterday though, there were some very good games played.
I'm told that the Res/Div1 final was good.
The U17s was great, well played by both teams with Cumby coming from behind twice to win in the end (nice 'hat-trick' by Elise - and some great team work to help her get it!)

Metro did hit the wood work in extra time... and both keepers had some work to do throughout the game... nothing too daunting...

i would be interested to know what the game plans where from both teams... they both played a very similar game...

I heard a rumour that there was a punch-up involving parents/supporters (so-called supporters anyway :( )after the U15s final.
I hope this wasn't true - very disappointing if it is. :evil:

Re the rumor about U15 game had nothing to do with either side just an ugly split up. Time they grew up and got over it. As for the game , great job by both sides unfortunatley only one side can win.

Congrats to Metro girls for the win. 2 years in a row CUP WIMNNERS now!

Congrats also to the big man "enzo", coach of the girls!
I told him how to play in the final, and they won!
