Haven't seen enough of Vale, but I'm sure they would be to strong for the Wanderers.
Vale 3-1.

According to the email I got:

Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Colossus: One House

Costa: One Lunch

Oh and add in

Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

Spoke with the league yesterday, is scheduled for Sunday 28th September, however I had assumed that it would be at Grange.

Day after the AFL Grand Final, may be tough to field a team.

If its on Sunday, I will be there. Saturday I think I will be watching the AFL GF.

I had expected it to be on sunday, but the email the SAASL sent me is as quoted above the 27th. As a result that's the day I've requested to have off work, so if it's on a sunday I might not be able to make it.

This date (28th September) has thrown a spanner in the works. Heard from a reliable source the Wanderers have booked their end of season trip for this weekend to Melbourne.

The two best teams for the year going head to head, I reckon there would only be a goal in it to Wanderers or maybe even penalties...

So what's the format for the day, are there games on before hand - Div 1 B winners play-off or something..?
Adelaide Wanderers
2005 COLLEGIATE CUP CHAMPIONS
2006 CHAMPIONS Sat Div 2 A
2006 DIVISIONAL CHAMPIONS
2006 CHAMPIONS Sat Div 2 B
2008 CHAMPIONS Sat Div 1 A

Normally just the one game.

I re-iterate this point though, the CofC winner should play in whatever pre season cup v the cup winners and not the present format.

It will be a ripper of a game and I'm confident loads will come out to watch, but there should be something on beforehand. Has ur idea been knocked back Hawksey..?

I personally have never mentioned it to SAASL but I'm sure someone has, with more and more teams coming across maybe they will have to stop looking after the sunday boys soon.

From the point of a game before hand. I would like to see Ingle Farm v Uni for the reserves as well :D The issue would be of teams strengthening their sides if the A's don't have a game etc..

Why not speak to SAASL and Vale and suggest your reserves play each other before the main game?

Do they still play the comp for the winners of the leagues, other than div 1?

I have heard this is going to be the case.
The winner of the Champion of Champions will play the Cup Winners in the Cichanowski Cup next year.
At the end of it all there will still be Football !!
It wasn't Bad but its Far from Good !

What happens if the same club wins both the CofC and the Cup?

Precedents in 1990 and 1993 would suggest that it would be the Challenge Cup Runner Up.

1990
Sunday Division 1 Champion and Cup Winner was Salisbury Inter
Cup Runner Up was NAB
Salisbury Inter played NAB in the 1991 Chick Cup

1993
Sunday Division 1 Champion and Cup Winner was Para Hills East
Cup Runner Up was Elizabeth Vale
PHE played Elizabeth Vale in the 1994 Chicken Cup

There were no CofC games back then. The first was at the end of the 2004 season.

Champions of Champions its played 3 weeks after both leagues are finished,1 week after the cup finals,1day after the AFL grand final. Iam sure both teams have been putting there all into there preperation for this epic battle(not). Iam sure the amature league is putting this game on 4 Bobo Glimp and hawkesy cause they are sick of hearing how hard done the saturday league is compared to sunday. Yes now both saturday and sunday teams have the same chance to play in the CHICKEN MAN CUP!!!!!! which is fare! So boys quit ur FU#ING moaning.
Swangsong is there any chance of finding out who has won the cup finals in the last decade or so!I only ask because u seem to be the man knows all!!!
