Clubs wanting Umbro Strips
Any clubs wanting Umbro Strips for next season, give me a shout. I have direct access to the head of Umbro in Australia and can probably save you the "middle man" costs when you go through Sports stores etc.
I've been sent some samples and the jerseys can be bought for $20 (one is an exact replica of the England kit from a couple of years ago, obviously without the badges).

England kit??? Feck off. we dont want to play in a strip used by a bunch of losers! Have you got access to Kappa - we could get some of those nice slim fit welsh strips. They show off my physique nicely.Vista_Bhoy wrote:Any clubs wanting Umbro Strips for next season, give me a shout. Not dodgy at all
My Cousin is in charge of kit sales to club sides in England/Scotland etc. And Harry, he's the one that signed the deal with R*ngers for their Umbro kit (business is business )
Anyhoo, he put me in touch with the Aussie Umbro rep and I have the wholesale price list.
In regards to 7 a-side, minimum order for strips is 15.

I'd like to order a new set of Umbro Rangers as the new strip for Vista over 35's next year. We could get our names on the back. O'Neill 2 would look good on the back of one of these!!Vista_Bhoy wrote:Sorry mate, umbro only.viduka wrote:Adidas is better.
Can you get Adidas in as well?

the fact that you have been given a wholesale pricelist is ridiculous and umbro australia will be getting a nasty phone call on monday morning if this is the case. small businesses rely on club sales now that a mart have taken over from rowe and jarman and rebel. all you do by getting strips direct from umbro is kill any sponsorship that a sports store will give you. its no wonder that umbro had to sell to harris scarfe last year when their sales didnt reach the budget of the respective sell in. i have been supplying my club with umbro gear now for seasons and all at great prices but will no longer do it if this is the case. pretty disappointed.

In fairness though, how many clubs buy replica strips from a sports store to make a playing strip. Most get there own made at Sportscentre or Jax. When you consider that all clubs are not for profit, if there is a way to save money, why not take the opportunity. If a sports store is relying on sales to a soccer club, it must be struggling a bit. Vista Boy, can you private message me with some details. We are looking for new strips new year.

I really don't see the harm in buying direct from Umbro. Who knows, maybe they will sponsor some clubs. Sportscentre do.

ALL small businesses rely on getting club sales and make minimal profit on those sales assuming that the players are then going to support the business that supports them by buying boots etc from that store. i can tell you that all mvsc strips last year were passed on at NO PROFIT to the store they came from. the strips that are on offer arent replica strips of any team they are generic strips that are based on the design of international and club strips. if all suppliers of all products (not only sporting goods) sold direct to the public, people like me who work hard for what we have wouldnt have jobs. lets be fair whether you save a few bucks or not its not the right thing to do in any industry.JayWalking wrote:In fairness though, how many clubs buy replica strips from a sports store to make a playing strip. pull the other one!! sweat shop my a r s e !!!! tim from PDR plays for your club, coaches a junior side at your club and has two lads that play at your club. PDR have supplied you with product in the past and he shares exactly the same opinion as i do. if you want NON name brand product that is exclusively designed for your club then go to jax or sportscentre or PDR. if you want name brand product then go through the right avenues to get it. clubs whinge about not getting enough sponsorship and complain about cash flow and how to increase it and how to pay players etc. and then buy direct from a wholesaler???? who wants to sponsor you then?? mvsc could have been given money this year and werent as they are not loyal to the store that supported them last year and sourced product from port road sports instead of supporting the store that supported them.GULLY BOYZ wrote:Thats exactly right jaywalking ! makeminblue chillout mate!! you reckon thats bad !! we have may have to close down our sweat shop now!!

umbro are a multi million dollar corporation and i can tell you that they have no interest in sponsoring an amateur club in little old adelaide, been there, done that. sportscentre sponsor clubs as they are an australian company. the sponsorship comes from the store. dennis at sportscentre sponsors clubs as he feels it is beneficial to his business, umbro have no interest in doing this. do the right thing.JayWalking wrote:Lol!
