Semi Final Time
I cannot believe it is Friday and the fact it is semi final time is not a topic yet……so thought I would start it.
Cup semi finals on Saturday at Grange. Interesting games with Div 2 teams still in it and a mix (just) of Sat and Sun teams. Who do you think will compete the final next Sunday (21st, same venue).
I will kick off with:
A’s
Elizabeth Grove v USC Lions – I reckon Lions playing at home will give them the edge
Sturt Marion v Parafield Gardens – I fancy the Saturday boys to go all the way
B’s
Elizabeth Vale v Ingle Farm – Ingle Farm will be too strong for the Vale
Modbury Vista v West Beach – I reckon the Div 2 boys will provide this weeks upset
Come on arrrr!

I have been hearing that Vista have at least 5-6 A players in the mix..So maybe a dark horse to stop Ingle farm's domination of the Ressie Cup.

Re: Semi Final Time
Having played against them in the quarters I definitely think that Sturt have a good chance of winning the cup. They have some very good players, they are well coached and they play to their strengths.

Re: Semi Final Time
Don't know enough about Ingle Farm and Vale except that they are both really good - A guess would be Ingle Farm as they won Div 1 reserves
I fully expect West Beach to beat Vista going on the times we played both teams. Beach are very structured and may have a couple of A players to come in. In our cup 1/4 final against them, they were a very tough tackling team and that will tell against Vista. I also think Beach would be very happy with the draw having avoided the other two teams at this stage
Good luck to all

Elizabeth Grove v USC Lions
Grove have taken some big scalps so far in the cup, but Lion technically do have home advantage here and are traditionally hard to beat at home. They also handle the (generally) windy conditions very well. Im saying Lion to win this one.
Sturt Marion v Parafield Gardens
Sturt did very well to knock out a really good side in Ingle Farm the other week. By all accounts it was a thoroughly deserved victory. We played Gardens last weekend and lost 1-3 but in reality our keeper pulled off some excellent saves and it could have been a much bigger loss. Could avoiding relegation have made Gardens take their foot off the pedal? I dont think so and i would say that they will be hungry for some silverware to show for a long season at the wrong end of the table so Gardens.
Elizabeth Vale v Ingle Farm
Ingle Farm without a doubt for me. They play the best football in the reserves league than any other team i have seen in recent seasons. Take nothing away from Vale's reserves as they to arent a bad side but quality wise Farm are too far ahead of the rest.
Modbury Vista v West Beach
I dont know what Vista's reserves are like but having played against Beach's reserves this season they play a hard strong game. If like last season Manca is playing in the team then he will make the difference and i expect the reserves final to be a repeat of last seasons with Beach to face Farm.

Your dreaming mate, Farm are a class side with 11 players each week that would walk intoNew_Beach_Driller wrote: I have been hearing that Vista have at least 5-6 A players in the mix..So maybe a dark horse to stop Ingle farm's domination of the Ressie Cup.
ANY Div 2 A team.
We couldn't handle them, class all over the park
