Raptors 1 - Fulham 3 - A's
Raptors 1 - Fulham 0 - B's

Fantastic effort by the A's today - Hit Raptors on the counter extremely well. Was a tight first half, but Fulham were too clinical in the second. With so much riding on the result, a very solid effort.

In our game, Raptors played the better football and had more of the play. I put my hand up for missing a header unchalenged in the first half that would have put us up a goal, but just when we were heading for a draw, a scramble in the goal, 3 or 4 goal line saves and a scrappy shot into the corner gave Raptors the win. A little hard to take after a good defensive effort

Anyway, now for celebrations and back to Div 1 :D

knights v bosna 4-1

knights had a early goal in this game whcih lead to 2 at half time. The players that played played in good spirit but at half time our coach was approached to ask how nuch does he want in cash to drop the game??? obviously he replied with that he isn't interested. This person was not a player and he is known to the club but unknown to us.
Knights missed easy shots which would of repeated the same defeat at our home ground but bosna scored a good goal from their substitution which should of started the game as he was a good improvement to the team..Knights goal keeper deserved the beer at the end for the awesome saves from Bosna free kicks, he had a blinder all day.. Bosna changed their linesman 3 times during the game cause they were all giving offside to every through ball, and even when the second half linesman put his hand up to say our ball was over the line he was hip and shouldered by another member off his club which was quiet funny actually. knights ran the game all day and deserved the win but bosna played today in great spirit even though they are div 3 next year.
Good luck to Bosna for next year..

let me take this chance to congratulate fulham on their return to division one football next year, well done
Secondly well done also to our lads for fighting out to the years end in both the a's and the b's, we cant ask for too much more than for our teams to still be playing for titles/promotion up until the last day of the season.
next cheers to everyone who supported our bbq today it was a great success, and that includes the pontian lads who came down. After seeing your teams results i can understand why you made the trip to Raptors park :D :D

Vale 4 Westies 1
Congrats must go to the Vale guys on a great season and well played today. Finished well and deserved the chocolates. Very disappointing way to lose the league but every one at the club should be proud of this years efforts. Thankyou to the coaches, committee and families of the club for a very enjoyable year. 2nd place in Div 1 is a fantastic effort and we definitely finished higher than anyone thought. Hope every one enjoys the summer off and we retain all our youngsters and push for one better next year.

CROATIA V VISTA........no real physicalness that was expected, both teams played hard and fair, the ref was absolutely on his game and with what could have been all out war, he kept control and really congrats must go to him.......as for the game, croatia outplayed vista, good ball playing side, vista went down 1-0 within 2 mins (that old chestnut) but kept peppering all game, as with croatia. a vista goal disallowed and then in the 2nd half a goal to vista enabled a draw......Vista's 1st draw in 2 years keeps us in Div 2, where we belong, a nothing year again but ill enjoy this hangover all week. well done lads!!!!!!!!!!!!
You go on the p*ss all day, you've ballooned out like the Pillsbury Doughboy!
You could go to jail for this! What sort of system am I going to play then? Three across the middle and one in bloody Pentonville? *Mike Basset*

Also all the Gardens boys that still speak to Benny A you owe him alot of booze he played well was one of the b.o.g. and helping you guys stay up.

1 of those games could have gone either way, was nil all at half time.
fulham got the goal after half time, we pushed forward, we missed some opportunities....there goes a whole year :(
just cant hide my dissapointment.
agree mavro

it was a chance that was there for the taking, and we let ourselves down

two seasons in a row now weve gotten to the last game of the season needing a win to get promotion, and we failed

good luck to fulham in div 1 next year

A's: MSSC Blue Eagles 2 - 2 Plympton
B's: MSSC Blue Eagles 4 - 1 Plympton

I wasn't at the game yesterday, but Plympton scored the equaliser with a cracker from 25-30 yards out with only a few minutes left. The catch up game with Macoes is being played on either Friday night or Saturday - still waiting on Macoes to confirm.

Great effort by Fulham yesterday.

We had been in the top 2 all year and fully deserved promotion.

Raptors put up a good fight but very difficult to come back from something like 9 points with a handful of games to go - the pressure was just building every week for them.

The Croatia Debate will be heard Wednesday.

We should get the points, cause the fact of the matter is the player went off once he got found out at half time....

Which means Gully come in third so unfortunately we did it to Raptors again...pipping them at the post. They went from potential promotion to 4th in 90 minutes......thats football

Mate, that has to go down as the "BEST" goal mouth scramble in history (That I have every seen).....it went on for 30-40 seconds!!....AMAZING

Agree with you about the A's game.....We had a few chances early and didn't take them and you guy's did. The ref in my eye's made some real strange decisions but at that stage didn't have any impact on the result.......Fulham too good on the day........ Good luck in Div 1.

Also.......Tell Big Pizza in the C's to take a chill pill..........It's a C's game FFS!!!!!

And one final thing.....Cheers to the boys from the Cove......great bunch of lads and a pleasure to ref them......hope you enjoyed the day

Yes, congratulations to Ingle Farm B's for an outstanding season. Downs took it right down to the wire as they always do. (I make it 3 times Runners up on goal difference in the last 6 years and they won it the other three years). However, if Florina B's had a better start to their season they might have made it a 3 horse race. They only lost 1 of their last 15 games beating both Farm and the Downs in the process.

Ingle Farm 7 Pontian 0 (11-0)

Ingle Farm Bs champions.[/quote]
B's got their goal difference up I see. Farm and Downs B's so far ahead of the rest of the comp. Play good football too, well done.
