Adelaide Tigers and the SAASL.

Post by guti »

Hawkesy on the OISC forum wrote:The league have said that the comments were all an over exaggeration. So i guess the police arrested the guy for possessing a firearm was mistaken. I guess the ref who controlled that B's game and told me exactly what happened the other day (he has links to Raptors) exaggerated about a gun being shown. I guess the A's ref who turned immediately to Bill Bailey and said "You know what you've got to do, fluctuate them off" was exaggerating.

Make your own choice but this is either a sign that:

A) the SAASL is weak on punishing teams

B) The SAASL are more interested in the money that the state government is giving them for the teams from refugee groups

C) The SAASL are frightened of being called racist
Further to this, the SAASL were informed that Adelaide Tigers played dual-registered players against us (and probably half the other teams in the league too), and did nothing about it, and refuse to do anything about it.

Viva FFSA.

Great precedent set here, next time some young hoodlum wants to get a gun out during a push and shove, a 2 game suspension will incur.

The league says it was all an over exaggeration, so whats R/B Eagles stance?

If someone from the R/B Eagles say it was an over exaggeration, id be more inclined to believe it.

Wakey Wakey :!: :!: :!:
These African migrants love the game. it,s quite common for them
to play in both Sat & Sun leagues. Its all part of expanding their
communities as i have been told by one of my Homie m8's from my hood.
Dont know how they do it and get away with it :?:

i didn't know about the second part, well about nothign happening anyway. This was a player who we knew was registered to a sunday team. The referee was informed and a card check initiated on this one individual. Not only was his shirt number not registered on their team sheet but they were unable to locate his card. Why not? because he was never registered to Tigers.

I'm sure they do LOVE the game but so do I and I am only allowed to play one day a week.

The A's ref is well know around the SAASL, and a decent ref.

I thought that B's ref that day was the bloke who has covered most of R/B Eagles home games this season.

The R/B Eagles ref we had was great, one of the best club refs we had all season.

I spoke to him at Raptors the other sunday and immediately he asked "would you be Hawkesy by any chance?".

It was no exaggeration. The danger was real. Ask the the young kids that were crying from fear and they will tell you that it was no exaggeration. Its in the best interest of our game that this should be taken serious. Cause If this ignored then someone is going to get hurt bad in the future.

I hear that now you can register players under false names and get away with it. All you have to do is say that the player lied to the club when giving his details. Work that out.

how can anyone expect the saasl to deal with any problems when they are too busy counting all of their $$$$$$
eg. 1 dual registrations means more $$$$$$
2 players registered under false names means more $$$$$$
