worst thing is after rd 1 we have to put up with a break for internationals then again in early October.

At least it gives Inter more time to get back Samuel, Cordoba & Chivu.

just be careful as last season the highlights show could only show a certain package of teams, minus the big boys.

Sampdoria v Milan definitely worth watching/recording

Septic tanks have this in their guide for the weekend:

ESPN Australia-Soccer (Futbol)-Italian
Date Start Time End Time Description
08-31-2008 04:25 am 06:30 am Italian Serie A FootballMatchday #1
08-31-2008 07:00 pm 09:00 pm Italian Serie A FootballMatchday #1
08-31-2008 10:55 pm 12:55 am Italian Serie A FootballMatchday #1

guessing it will be Samp - Inter and then replayed before the Sunday arvo match.

NFI for Monday morning as the guide doesn't go that far.

Going by the website RAI might not be showing the Sunday night games anymore.

bad enough people refer to FC Internazionale Milano as Inter Milan, worse still when they confuse us with Milan

Milano siamo noi

Setanta half arse copverage again this year.
ITALIAN SERIE A:

One of the elite leagues in world football, Setanta Sports shows games every week from Serie A , for the home matches of the following clubs only:

Atalanta
Chievo
Palermo
Reggina
Sampdoria
Siena
Udinese

And catch our weekly Serie A highlights show every Monday at 9pm.

Don’t miss Socceroos Marco Bresciano playing for Palermo, Vince Grella at Torino and Zelijko Kalac at AC Milan.
bit f@rk!ng hard to watch Vinnie & The clumsy Croat when you don't have the rights to Torino & Milan home matches.

Real mean nothing to Serie A
It also had nothing to do with the English Premier League, A-League or Champions League but there you go, such is the nature of these threads.

it might be on RAI

looking at the fixture, its either that or Fiorentina-Juve. both the standout clashes.

ESPN are showing Serie A on Sunday night, but haven't published which actual game.

Ours is the Sunday night game (as in 8:30pm kickoff CET) so it should be Roma-Napoli for the day game.

Hopefully Nedved is ok to take on Fiorentina. He suffered an injury in training earlier today. Otherwise we will just have to unleash Giovinco :D.

in agreeance for A at least, Toro being the exception. Backing the rivals for this one?

interesting stat: Last time Lazio travelled to the Sant'Elia on the opening day, the end result was a Scudetto victory.

Lets just hope for some great football this week. Forza.

Special mention to both Chievo and Napoli. I'm behind them 100% this week.

AC Mi-lol! So predictable going to Ronnie 80% of the time, he produced the magic which should have given them the game but Sheva hasn't got the mojo anymore!

didn't expect it to be Milan :P

a lazy 7 to start with in rd 1, I hope your keeping tally Duce

looks like the TV coverage on RAI is in full swing, 4 matches, domenica sportivo still on Monday nights (not bad if you have it on mute) and they sorted out their picture in picture mode for giostra, all round good start to the season.

bandwagoner, only wants to draw up a table when you're on top :P

nothing wrong with the picture/sound quality on RAI, it's the closest thing you get to 80's football these days

Night game from rounds 2-6.
Day 2

Saturday September 13th
6 pm Palermo vs. Roma
8.30 pm Inter vs. Catania

Sunday September 14th
8.30 pm Juventus vs. Udinese

Day 3

Saturday September 20th

6 pm Catania vs. Atalanta
8.30 pm Roma vs. Reggina

Sunday September 21st
8.30 pm Milan vs. Lazio

Day 5

Saturday September 27th

6 pm Sampdoria vs. Juventus
8.30 pm Fiorentina vs. Genoa

Sunday September 28th
8.30 pm Milan vs. Inter

Day 6

Saturday October 4th
6 pm Lazio vs. Lecce
8.30 pm Inter vs. Bologna

Sunday October 5th
8.30 pm Cagliari vs. Milan
Note that round 4 is a midweek round, hence all night matches.

I hate all these night games, they should all be Sunday 3pm unless you have a European match to play in midweek (such as our match with Sampdoria and Fiorentina straight after vs Genoa, we both play on the Tuesday after that).

Not that it will ever happen like that again except for rounds 35-38.

Well at least we know half of Rai's schedule for the next rounds.
