Any other Div 3 results ... anyone?
I heard Athelstone def Seaford 2 - 0
and Flinders def Munno Para 5 - 2 with a bunch of div 1 players to stack their side up
As they have done so many times before. Questionable whether this was within the spirit of the game or even within the rules. I suspect they had more than the limit of 4 players from the higher division from what Ive heard.

He cannot kick with his left foot, he cannot head a ball, he cannot tackle and he doesn't score many goals. Apart from that he's all right.

Re: results from todays games
I think its a bit rich to accuse a side of stacking Old traff... Especially when Flinders aren't competing for a Trophy in this division... What reason would they have to "stack" their team???? They were probably short on players, they are not a malicious or manipulative club.
I know that Flinders have struggled at times with numbers for teams due to study committments etc, and due to their shared ground situation often their 3 teams are not even competing at the same venue, my understanding is that usually their Div 4 girls come up into Div 3 when they're short...
If as you are trying to suggesting they regularly drop more than 4 Div 1 players, I'm sure Wendy at SAWSA would have addressed it by now, and I don't believe the girls at Flinders would knowlingly do or continue to do anything unethical.

Dr D,
I dont think its fair that div 3 girls play a side with div 1 girls, You will notice that everytime the div 1 girls have had a bye that the div3 girls have won, I have seen girls that have played go play for div 1, including the keeper, it shouldnt be allowed.
If you dont have enough players then either forfeit or postpone the game.

Dr D
Im not sure you were there on Sunday or night but apparently the Flinders coach had 15 names on the team sheet and could only produce 11 player rego cards. Some of the cards he couldnt produce were of course those of the Div 1 players. Poor management perhaps.
Im not saying there doing it week after week but the scores speak for themseleves as Becks has stated. I understand that they also did it against the Grove as well.
SAWSA was informed of this and requested to look into this and no-one has responded either for or against the argument.
Whether they are playing for the title or not it is not in the spirit of the game especially when you see how the problem was dealt with on the day.
Dodgy I say.

The keeper playing for Div 3 now, got dropped from Div 1 after about 5 rounds on a permanent basis. There were some weeks where i know she was away interstate in the 2nd half of the year, but she has been the Div 3 keeper for the majority of the year. That keeper isn't dropped just because there is a BYE. Yes she played Div 1 earlier in the year, but she was let go to the lower team, not to stack games, but because in the opinion of the Div 1 coach, that level is more suited to her experience.
Many clubs will push girls up to a higher division at their club to cover losses, are you suggesting that they shouldn't then be allowed to play for their normal team. Division 3??? Many players are often pushed up and play above their skill level... That doesn't make them Div 1 players forever and ever.
As long as they're not dropping more than the allowed 4 players then they're not breaking any rules. At this point in time it seems like you're both making assumptions based on what sounds like the administrative ineptitude of the Division 3 Coach to slander a club without knowing all of the facts... AGAIN, i stress, if they were breaking the rules SAWSA would be ALL OVER THIS....
Elizabeth Grove have a Div 1 team... Have they never pushed Div 3 girls up and then brought them back down again...?? Consider this - you play a Div 1 club in the first half of the year and have to play some of your Div 3 girls up because of injuries or absenteeism... They think this is your Div 1 side... Then in the 2nd half of the year they play your Div 3 team, and see those same girls playing... They think you're "stacking" when in fact you had returned promoted players to their normal team and not dropped them...
I'm not advocated stacking... As someone who has long been involved at Women's clubs that only have one team i think its crappy when you play against the bigger clubs who can move players around as they please... But the fact it, as long as its only 4 players they can do it and as illustrated in the above example there are ways in which "Outsiders" to a club, may misinterpret players positions within their clubs teams, and believe stacking is occuring when it isn't.

15-11 = 4
And if as you say above the cards he couldn't produce were Div 1 players, then that equals 4 Division 1 players and that is within the rules, so you have no argument to make

Re: results from todays games
Sorry Dr D.
Wrong again. So you can do maths 15 - 11 is 4 so what is your point. I said some of the cards he didnt have were div 1 players. He did produce other cards for other div 1 players. So the question is do YOU know how many div 1 players played. I have a fair idea I do.
Wrong again the Grove only have a Div 3 side this year As for last year NO they Never transferred players between Divisions ... I know ... I was there at the club
As for SASWA being all over it. They cant be because they still havent told the Grove about there last encounter with Flinders. Havent even responded although a formal request was submitted and according to the SAWSA code they Will respond within 14 days. Knowing exactly how many Non Div 3 players played in the game. 5 to be exact .... how can they possibly be all over it.

All Im saying is that most of the teams in div 3 dont have another womens team that they can rely on, if they dont have enough players than either they play with what they have or postpone it.

And all I'm saying is, that as long as its within the rules becks then its OK... Just because other clubs in the division don't have other teams to rely on it tough titties for them... If its in the rules then they're not doing anything wrong. Becks its starting to sound like sour grapes from you, maybe you shouldn't have counted those 3 points before the game
Traff, no I don't know exactly how many players were used. But unless you are an Administrator of the Flinders University Soccer Club (which I know you're not), then you can't be 100% certain either, so we're just splitting hairs.
I would suggest that you continue to direct your enquiry to SAWSA if you're not happy with their response instead of slagging Flinders on the internet. Working out who is a Div 1 player and who isn't would require Wendy (one man show) to go back through all of the teams sheets and see how many games each player has played for each team) so give her time... The outcome isn't going to effect the divisions results either way.

Re: results from todays games
I feel sorry for the actual div 3 girls to think that they can only win games when players from div 1 play for them.
All I can say is all teams that play against them should not be dissapointed with there game as they have probably played some of there div 1 side.

Re: results from todays games
Well this makes for some interesting reading.
Lets correct some inaccuracies shall we. First of all I think you’ll find Flinders beat Munno Para last time around as well. Did Div 1 have a bye that round too? As for the game on the weekend. Two, let me repeat TWO div 1 girls played for Flinders. 13 players took part in the game with 11 of them being Div 3 regulars. It is well within the rules of the game to play two division 1 girls in the Div 3 competition. As for the spirit of the game you both tout, I think it’s completely acceptable and well within the spirit for the Div 1 girls to help out with numbers when we’re players short.
As for the Elizabeth game where we won 1-0, there was two, I repeat again, TWO division 1 players who took part in that game and they weren’t even on the pitch until the second half. Again I think you will find this too is within the rules, Traff.
I would suggest that if either of you are so concerned or feel so aggrieved by the situation on the weekend then you contact SAWSA. Slandering our club here online is not the way to go about things.
On a further note, the conduct of the coach for Munno Para and some players was in no way, ‘within the spirit’ of the game either. Calling out and yelling to our coach that he was a cheat and swearing at the referee, warranting a yellow card is poor sportsmanship at best.
FFWSC prides itself on being a friendly, come one, come all kind of club. We have a very competitive division 1 team and two development teams. I think the kind of attitude you have displayed on this forum is appalling. You have basically said our division 3 team is crap and that we can’t win games. Cheers for that.

On a tangent..
Villa beat MU Lions 5-0, which (I think) wraps up the title for them.
A top effort for a first year club
