ELIZABETH VALE VS ELIZABETH DOWNS

Post by gunther »

next sunday (24th august) will be the big elizabeth derby.
the vale will have to win to keep top of the league, and the downs wont want to lose twice in a year to vale, or hand them the title.
should be a cracker, got mates in both teams so will be straight down their after my reserves game. Should be a big crowd.

I'll be there with camera in tow. Might be the biggest Amateur League crowd for the home and away series all year.
Downs have scored 15 goals for and 2 against and the Vale have scored 8 goals without conceding in their last 3 league games.
The Vale have beaten the Downs twice this season and cannot afford to drop points in their pursuit of the Sunday Division 1 Champions title.
Ingle Farm front up against Para Hills West on the same day so ther is a lot riding on both games.
Then, in round 18, the Vale are at home to Para Hills West it what could be a game to decide Div 1 Champions.

Should be game of the yr!
So much on the line for both teams!

The Reserves and C-Team clashes between the Vale and Downs have Championship chances on the line too.
Should be a huge day for all !
