Kaka or Robinho to Chelsea??

Post by RUPERT »

There has been much speculation about AC Milan midfeild star Kaka and Brazilian Robinho moving to Chelsea, but with around a week left in the transfer window do Chelsea still have it in them to sign one or both of the Braziliab duo?
What do you think :?:

Yeah
there is ALOT of depth in the Chelsea team with Essien, Wright-Phillips, Alex and Kalou not even starting, when they would start for nearly every other premier league team.

Chelsea don't have the same standards Real Madrid do, Robinho is definately good enough to play for Chelsea....I'm starting to doubt whether he is good enough to play for Real Madrid though.

Real Madrid is the pinnacle of world club football, therefore we have greater standards, we expect the world's best players and we expect them to be loyal, to give their blood, sweat and tears on the Bernabeu pitch, Chelsea would be happy with a player that scores a few goals here and there and helps them win the league title. We demand a player who feels for the shirt and fights for the badge.

your full of faken shit.. im pretty sure Chelsea's standards have changed since Roman has taken over and their standards would be higher than Reals.. just look at the current coach's of both clubs and theres your answer.. you dont even have to look at any of the players..

Ahh yes coaches, the true test of the standards of a team. At least Schuster has coached a club in like the last 20 years :P . Chelsea have a better squad, but no matter what our squad, we are expected to challenge for every competition and play good football, otherwise there are heads on the chopping block. Chelsea are happy with winning a trophy whether it be the league, FA Cup, Carling Cup or Champions League. Obviously there goal now is the champions league but Chelsea's priorities are clearly result based, otherwise how did Mourinho's boring 1-0 football survive so long at Stamford Bridge?? We won the league with Capello but because of his boring style we gave him the chop, we must win with entertaining football, Chelsea just have to win. In that you can see the difference in standards.

As for you Ronaldo 07, paying like 25 million pounds for Michael Carrick is a joke. Paying for players the calibre of Cannavaro, Sneijder, Robben, Van Nistelrooy, Pepe and Van der Vaart is not a joke. We still consistantly win trophies, nothing about our history is a joke, the fact that any team would ever praise a team with Nicky Butt, now THAT is a joke.

Why the last 5 years? Why not the last 60 years and then we can have a good laugh at United's expense.

You have to love BLIND loyalty it's so wonderful to see it in some one so young.

I'd like to know what criteria you used to come to that conclusion?

The truth of the matter is that Real are a BIG fish in a little pond [la Liga] but would struggle to match the Top 4 clubs in the EPL on the park, they would probably finish somewhere between 5th and 10th. If any of the Top 4 clubs in the EPL were to play a season in Spain they would be so far in front by the end of the season it would be completely boring.

YES I actually believe it and nothing I have seen from Spain can convince me other wise.

That would be the true test of how good the clubs currently are, and don't throw up what Madrid did back in the 1960's most likely you had to read about it in your history books, the facts of the matter the Champions Trophy didn't have the same appeal back then as it does now.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL and I'd love to know how YOU came to THAT conclusion. As for your Champions LEAGUE comment, the Champions League has ALWAYS had great teams, just because you don't know about them now, doesn't mean they weren't once great teams. AC Milan, Fiorentina, Eintracht Frankfurt, Benfica, Stade de Reims were and some still are great teams. I've held the viewpoint for a while that the Premier League is the best league in the world, having said that Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool would find it very hard indeed to gain points in La Liga, there's no Derby County's in La Liga and every team is capable of beating any other team, I can quite easily see Almeria, Deportivo La Coruna, Sevilla, Villareal, Mallorca or the like beating any of the top 4 teams in England, however, it's a stupid point to discuss anyway as none of these teams will ever be in each others leagues and Champions League football is different to league football.

Milan Agree To Sell Kaka For €102m

According to the Daily Star, Milan have decided to sell Kaka to Chelsea providing they receive a world record bid of €102m.
Chelsea have been consistently linked with a move for the European and World Footballer of the Year over the last few years, and this summer have been consistently linked with a mega-money bid for the star.

In July it was reported that Chelsea had made a €100m offer for Kaka. The next day Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani confirmed that the club had rejected a “conspicuous” offer from Chelsea but wouldn’t reveal a figure, before adding that Kaka was not for sale at any price.

Chelsea's chief executive Peter Kenyon then refuted talk of a bid for Kaka, but this didn’t stop the press reporting that the Londoners were set to make a huge €150m bid for the midfielder.

Eventually the speculation died down, but last week there were fresh reports in the English and Italian press that Milan may consider selling Kaka to Chelsea next summer for a world record fee.

The Daily Star is today reporting that this is indeed true, and that the Rossoneri will release their star man if Chelsea table a bid of £80m, or €102m.

Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari is said to prefer the signing of Real Madrid star Robinho, but if this is not possible he certainly won’t turn down the chance of working with Kaka, who he coached for Brazil during their victorious 2002 World Cup campaign in Korea and Japan.

Real will get their chance to prove you right and the rest of the world wrong when they take to the field in the up coming Champions League. Lets see which clubs rise to the top. As for not knowing which clubs have performed well in the history of the European competitions, I might or may not know a lot about who won what when, only because to the English it was more important to us to win our first division championship than worry about the continental competitions.

Now that it has gained in importance to us, sure we are keen to prove how good we are and I'll make a small bet with you, Chelsea will win it before Real will. Forget about what you did in the 1960's, lets live in the now.

Madridista might be biased and I personally dont like La Liga, but that's one of the most ignorant comments I've ever heard.

just another person who thinks the EPL is the be all and end all of world football. Come back when you have some idea on the rest of Europe.

well guys, we'll all have to agree to disagree, I honestly don't think Real would have the right stuff to win the EPL and further more that the TOP 4 clubs in England would finish well in front of them.

But as some one else said, we will never know, any of us. So lets just keep sharing our opinions shall we. Lets see how far Real goes in the ECL this season compared to some of the English clubs.

And Il Duce, don't be so sure that I'm totally ignorant of European football just because I hold strong opinions on the EPL, have you ever stopped to consider that's why I think the EPL is so good, because I do know what the other leagues are like. Or do we all have to hold your opinions and worship the clubs and players in Serie A. I respect the fact that you follow your club and support the league they play in but don't think the rest of us are ignorant just because we think differently to you and are not afraid to say it.

We are never going to agree with each other, you support the Italian League and I honestly don't think its all that crash hot, no biggy we just have different opinions.

So you think that Real have the talent and would challenge for the EPL title do you Il Duce? Yes they would clean up against the lesser teams as they do in Spain, but what I'm saying is that many of our lesser clubs in the EPL would grab points off them when they can't against the likes of Man U, Chelsea and co.

Yep you are right, I know less about Real than I do about the EPL, but you just may be surprised just how much I do know about the EPL which is why I made the statement.

To say I know nothing about the EPL is a tad rich bud.

I love the Serie A... I'm not stupid enough to say that Real would finish 5th-10th

the styles of play are different yea, but just look at the names.

For the record, I don't think anyone from 5th down in England is that crash hot.

thats OK I hold the same opinion! I don't give another other team in the EPL a second thought to be truthful, but I do respect them on the day we play them.

And I also agree with you that Real would finish higher in Serie A than they would in the EPL.

I accept that there are different styles of play in each of the top leagues in Europe and that some are more attractive than others.
