Zones 2006

Post by pvfc »

Good to see some forumites coaching girls zone teams this year - and an extra age group this year too.
Only pity is that girls comp is reduced to 2 days because of cup finals

Why isn't it centralised? Para Hills is a long way for anyone other than thsoe who live on that side of town.

At this age group, its the mum's and dad's that are the transporters.

Keep it in the City! I reckon utilising the Adelaide City/SAWSA parks are the way to go.

Centralisation is the key. Again I think you girls drive yourselves around coz you're not elgible for Zones. Correct? So I'm just thinking that a central spot is sensible. Public transport is not an issue when its centralised in town and I can get myself a great latte before heading ff to the games darlings!

Facilties not adequate? Maybe not but then again when SAPSASA was located opposite the the Airport, the cow paddock was just mowed and transportables placed there. Have Para Hills exceptional facilities to cater for the masses?

I really cant see the problem with having to travel to Para Hills for 2 or 3 days.
Gawler was good last year, even though it meant over 2 hours a day travelling for me.
So long as the grounds are well set up, facilities are good, and the kids have a good time why does it matter where it is?

ye we werent born with P plates gosh! parents had to drive me to sasi EVERY NIGHT! and on a saturdee morning. we wld also juggle that with taking my yunger sisters to netball and my yunger brother to his match... so im sure u can manage heading to parahills (which is only about 20 mins from the city anyway) for 2 days.... yes it woudl be ideal to have it in the city.. but we dont have the IDEAL location to hold it with the required space and facilities... unless u can pull a few pitches out ur rear end.. the paddocks is a top location!

i agree courtz, 20min from the city for 1 weekend at a location that is really not that far from the city with great facilities isn't that much of a hassle! ..after all chicks in vic can't get their P's till their 18 so their STILL getting driven around to training and games and what not by their parents.
