Salisbury U15s are doing well with Pete as the coach. A job well done in my opinion. All the boys in the team are a great bunch too, so I guess that helps.

No I don't believe you're correct . Pete's got them all going and playing well together but the thing that really matters is I believe they all enjoy working with him and are getting the most out of playing the game.

got balls, didnt realise you've done the following.....got balls wrote:Raiders coaches the best... yeah right... back of the net have you checked out your under 14 15 and 16 coaches what a joke.
Super League first team player for 10 years, and a senior SA representative
What were your credentials again ???
He's in his first year of coaching, with those credentials I think he might be ok !!!

Re: Best Junior Coach?
Hey Zelijko Jurin you would be surprised with my credentials, but I don't need to boast.
If you read my post I said 14's 15's and ya 16's coach, all three have played super league and been an SA Rep.... I don't think so buddy.
If back of the net wants to make a statement or post "that all the Raiders coaches are the best" that's a big call and I think he has been on the shiraz to long.
Yes I agree Raiders have got some great coaches not all of them but Micky & Nenad are up there. I hear along the grape vine maybe out of Shiraz grapes that Raiders have let go of great coaches.

If you read what I quoted from you, I highlighted under 14's and quoted his credentials. As for the other 2, I dont know them so I wont commentgot balls wrote:Hey Zelijko Jurin you would be surprised with my credentials, but I don't need to boast.

I don't think so buddy, better still I know they haven't, without getting dramatic two of the three are an absolute disgrace, you work it out better still if you are at the club ask around you will soon find out.

It was a big statement to make, but I didnt make it
From our Junior teams, I think from u/14's down we do have good coaches (like I said, not bagging u15/16 as I dont know them), who had played the game for a long time, and reached pretty high levels in their playing careers, which can only benefit the kids to develop into better players by sharing their knowledge of the game. I know good players doesnt necessarily mean they are going to be good coaches, but atleast it's a very good start, and only time will tell !!!

I did realise who you were talking about Zeljko and your right let's see what happens with your 14's coach. Hopefully he can get a win for the team this year and not get sent off for abusing ref's.
Back of the net made a big statement, I know you didn't, but lets get a bit of realism.

Thanks for that info, I heard something happened but didnt know the full details. And I thought they were good friendsgot balls wrote:I did realise who you were talking about Zeljko and your right let's see what happens with your 14's coach. As parents of players you look around for the best coaches if you are in a situation you are not happy with at the age level your kid is in or moving too. I was really impressed with your 15 coach a while ago. I had heard from the parents he was very good and had really been getting the kids to play good exciting football and had a huge improvment in the team. I actually watched a couple of games and trainings. He was really positive but firm with the boys, made tactical changes that worked and the training I saw looked fullon, I was tired just watching, but the boys looked like they trained and played for him.
Your 16's coach was in the same area at the time so I watched him thinking I might get my son to trial up but witnessed a dressing down of player for missing a shot at a shooting drill and he didn't do much with the boys aparts from laps and shots. Looked boring, from that I thought he was a joke.
I then watched another game of your 15's recently hoping to talk with the guy I thought was the coach to find out he was no longer there???? I wanted to find out about trials and his thoughts on the team. I then asked a couple of parents to see if the guy standing there was a fill in because he had no idea what he was doing and the team looked like it went backwards, to find out he was the actual coach and sacked the other guy. I asked a couple of parents that told me the other guy was brillant and was actually the person doing everything, they really needed him and got the team to where it was but aparently didn't play the "named" coaches son enough so he was sacked by the coach at a training session with boys crying? The parents I spoke to were not happy so I just left scratching my head thinking what a joke and the guy coaching now has sent the team backwards very selfishly and I don't want my son part of that.
I don't know the other guys name that was sacked or if he's at another club coaching 14-16's, hopefully he is if anyone does know post it I would like my son to play under him.

I don't know the full details either, don't really care. I'm mainly interested in getting my son into a good team next year with a good coach that is there to teach them all.
The other thing was to let Back of the net know he or she is on the shiraz with that type of post.
I understand all clubs have good and bad coaches sometimes it's hard to find the good ones

Re: Best Junior Coach?
there is alot behind that story, those boys and their coach have come along way, they have done it together as a team, the gentleman that you refer to is a brilliant coach and will do wonders with any team he takes hold of. Paul Croult is a fantastic club man and has my respect. As for best coaches my throw away comment caused so much emotion from some....why would you not support your clubs coaches. open your eyes on the 15's they have dropped 2 game since the fallout and narrowly, the 14's have not only a champion ex player, but the boys that he controls each week would burst through brick walls for him. each week every coach from every club should be applauded for the job they do, not punished for results, by wannabes. the best part about the Raiders coaches.....players and club are their highest priority, can many clubs say the same?

Got balls.... if you knew me Shiraz is not my preferred i look forward to seeing your resume...having re read your blogs....my head shakes..i respect your opinion and maybe you should take a minute to read my last statement. every one that gives of their time so our kids can play the game of soccer i applaud.....and i dont really enjoy a game that is so racist amongst its own.
Re: Best Junior Coach?
Hello back of the net. Yeah ok fair enough. I was not looking at purely results I was looking for a good coach and club for my son's development and was disappointed to hear what happened because from the outside he looked like the man. I'm sure there is alot to any story and I have only spoken to a couple of people at the last game I was at, to be honest I'm not really interested in the in's and out's.
Anyway back of the net judging a coach is very subjective, and judging can often be a personal opinion.
I am not a wannabe so you will not receive my resume, No need to shake your head my friend we all have opinions that's what makes the world go round.
I agree clubs should support the coaches if they are any good, but I think you need to keep it real. You have some good ones and you have some bad ones. I think at the level we are talking about you would hope by then you would get rid of the bad ones.
You seem like a loyal club person that's great however it's probably good to look outside the circle of Raiders sometimes because there are lot's of great clubs and great people everywhere.
I am also more of a Cab Sav person just cracked a nice drop, mmm Cheers
I agree we are all here for the love of the game Football. The forum is not really the place for this so I edited the posts, My Bad

17's coach from NAB Clem Cimmino is a fine coach with good knowledge of football, the partnership of him and Carmine Cavuoto help develop and sustain a good team
