Zone Winners
Anyone have any thoughts from what they've seen of any of the zone teams if they will win there age groups? Heard that the east under 12's will be good while the under 13 west look good aswell

Re: Zone Winners
the zone teams haven't been picked yet. They are still trialling. And stop pretending the be the 3rd person, when it's bleedin' obvious that you play for Campbelltown Under 12's and you are in the East zone.

Re: Zone Winners
but I don't post self centred posts with the hope people will be heaping praise on myself. Unless you know different (and being part of the Campbellton Under 12's set up, I wouldn't doubt it) the zone teams haven't been picked yet. Or is everyone wasting there time up there trialling as you and your little mates from Campbelltown have already been picked coz the coach is one of your player's dads?

Don't worry, your son would be pretty stiff to miss out.

With only 5 players MAXIMUM per club per age group wonder which of the Campbelltown "SUPER" U/12's squad will miss out. Gonna be some very unhappy parents, lol.

Portobello,
If you have any comments to make about myself or my son, please have the balls to come and say it to my face.
As you may be aware I do have other committments and taking a zone time is something I really enjoy in order to put something back in at grass root levels but it is opbvious that people like you may me think otherwise & why the hell should I care about the kids - FYI - I hope my son's ability is picked on his own merits.

Re: Zone Winners
This bickering about coaches and players dads etc is why some parents don't bring their kids out.
The coaches shouldn't have any association with the team they are coaching certainly not coaching their own son. There is plenty of under 15 (and upwards) coaches out there that would have done it and heaven forbid would have to pick the squad on the basis of performance at the trials alone
Player development-Talent Identification - don't make me laugh, they're in it for the glory

As you can only pick 5 from each club, there are possibly 9 spots up for grabs to other clubs. So in the context of this discussion you have a better chance if you are not a part of the labelled 'super team'. So why would'nt kids from other clubs trial if asked?
My boy doesnt get to trial because only 5 players from his team are allowed to go and as he plays for a very competative side, spots are hard to get. Yet this doesnt stop him 'wanting like anything' to trial. He may never make the zone squad but when (or if) he does to him it will be a sweet achievement.
Re: Zone Winners
Good coaches are pretty hard to come by, especially ones that have played the game at a high level!
When we do get these coaches that genuinely want to put something back into the game it's a bit unfair to label them with unfounded conspiracy theories!
90% of parents think their kids are gonna be some sort of super star and when their kids fail to make certain teams it seems like it's easier to blame everyone else!
Let me tell ya, your kid is not good enough, use the failure as a positive and teach them to fight and improve and "maybe" they will do better in the "future"
Coaches will generally pick what they see as best, foolball is a game of opinions

Re: Zone Winners
this is absolutely hillarious, arguying over UNDER 12 zone trials, we are not talking about world cup squads...
they did say u can only have 5 players per club but if the coach thinks that the players missing out are better than the ones from the other clubs then u can have more than 5.... i can guarantee there will be more than 5 from campbelltown.... robbie ditroia is actually a great coach and hes not there to accomodate parents egos, im not even from campbelltown and i can honestly say this....plus i heard that hes the under 12s state sapsasa coach so im sure he knows how to pick the best players....
i can even tell u the 5 players that will be picked from the campbelltown team, loui, nathan, the blondy kid with orange boots and the two tall players....

Re: Zone Winners
I've been around too long to be jealous of any team let alone an U/12 from Campbelltown. But amazingly the only game your team drops 2 points is followed up with a letter to the FFSA complaining about, the pitch, the referee (FFSA appointed) & the West Adelaide parents amongst other things. Your team management really needs a reality check on its own importance in the whole scheme of the Campbelltown Soccer Club.skins wrote:how r campbelltown under 12s superFilikis Eterias wrote:With only 5 players MAXIMUM per club per age group wonder which of the Campbelltown "SUPER" U/12's squad will miss out. Nova your comment implying that coaches can only be any good if they have played at a high level is rubbish. Ever heard of two fellas called Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger?

There's a lot of good coaches that have not played at high levels that I rate highly, but I do believe that when you get skillfull ex players that can demonstrate certain skills especially to juniors it's gotta be valuable
And by the way, Jose and Arsene did play at a high level, not for a long time but did all the same, do your research

Re: Zone Winners
hahaha i still remember the game where west adelaide and campbelltown drew 1-1 and the devils decided to winge to the FFSA about west adelaide playing rough.... west adelaide had one player with a black eye, 2 had to come off injured and one campbelltown player was booked for rough play, yet they winged about the opposition being rough.... on top of that blamed the ref for cheating??? hes an ffsa official not a club person....
have i been watching them, well ive been involved in coaching for the last for yrs and ive seen those boys i mentioned through the ranks and at last yrs zone championship.
and the comment about good coaches being good only if they played the game at high level...well its not necessarely true but 90% of good coaches have actually played the game....ITS A FACT....
u can mention benitez, mourinho, wenger etc but the majority have been professional players.

The so called Superstar team on the u12s is rubbish. Just because they poached every good player in the district and made a superstar team, just remember a team of champions will never beat a champion team.rossonero wrote:hahaha i still remember the game where west adelaide and campbelltown drew 1-1 and the devils decided to winge to the FFSA about west adelaide playing rough.... west adelaide had one player with a black eye, 2 had to come off injured and one campbelltown player was booked for rough play, yet they winged about the opposition being rough.... on top of that blamed the ref for cheating??? hes an ffsa official not a club person....

And also clapping the parents after the game is rubbish also you are not at a high level, this in my case is an embarrassment to Campbelltown who think they are better then what they are. Everyone is equal just remember that, and play for fun, not for glory. Its not a win at all costs game.

Re: Zone Winners
the coach makes us clap hands. regarding sending in a report to the FFSA. the team manager complained about the West Adelaide coaches father's antics after the game. going off at the campbelltown coach and referee. The team manager also complained about the ground seems that it was a rooball pitch. Never complained about west adelaide players being too rough seems that 1 came out with a black eye and 2 injured? < u work it out?. The fact that the WAB coaches dad was screaming at both CCSC coach and referee about a goal that was conceded and complaining that u didnt stop the game when my grandson got injured and was saying that he had a broken ankle. CCSC reported the man ; his response was that his grandson broke his ankle when 2 weeks later a player from comets told me he was playing?? Its interesting when your actually at the game ? unlike just hearing it from other people and using your own assumptions y dont u actually come to the game rather then trying to just fit in with all the other people that werent also at the game.pulse wrote:And also clapping the parents after the game is rubbish also you are not at a high level, this in my case is an embarrassment to Campbelltown who think they are better then what they are. Re: Zone Winners
If the coach makes you fair enough, but if you don't want to, then let him know, grow some balls and face up to him, its simple, everyone can talk about someone behind their back, but when it comes to face to face contact, they hide in their shell.

Re: Zone Winners
this is unbelievable..... ok i was there at the game, i know exactly what happened and i know exactly what was written in the letter....
the parent was complaining about his son (not grandson) being on the ground injured while the ref kept on playing on.... he never said he had a broken leg, he clearly said that his son was down injured, cos he played the week after....he never complained about the scoreline nor did he argue with the opposition cos he was infuriated about the refereeing..... u can complain about the pitch being crap, but then again whos pitch is good at junior level, the pitch is small, but have u played down at comets, cobras, adelaide hills etc.... if campbelltown won that game there wouldve been no complaints.... end of the day the draw was fair.....
now for the others who r complaining about the superstar team....well that team played awsome all yr, whether they had the best players in the state or not thats how it goes, if the club wasnt good and the coach wasnt good the players wouldnt have followed drago...
i know that team are arrgogant and whatever else but i think they deserve a bit of credit....
