Yes i know what you mean mate , I also witnessed this first hand, the first time modbury and para hills played , modbury brought down the 17's players, they also did it the second time they played each other, but that is perfectly legal, within the rules of the game as long as they are the correct age it is condoned by most clubs within the F.F.S.A. para Hills did it the second game also because they had players sick or injured ( ironically still injured from the first time they played Modbury ) but don't worry too much you probably won't be playing next year anyway, will you ??

A few FACTS black and white.

NO u17s played in the first match against Para Hills!
No one is IRONICALLY still injured from the first match played against Modbury.
Yes it is within the rules to play eligable players as long as they are the correct age.
Modbury u16s have only played TWO u17s all year for one game each due to injury.
Para hills played TWO quality u17s (DK and JR) and it had nothing to do with injurys.

The Para Hills u16s won on the day only because of these quality players and everyone who was there on the day knows that they are the only reason you did so and that includes the 2-3 sets of PARA HILLS parents who i talked to after the match.
How ironic that the u17s were knocked out of the cup on the weekend, maybe if you had more FAITH in your own players the u17s might have been fit for there own game.
Good luck for the rest of the season,no pressure now!!!

A few U16 facts, gowans49

Para Hills have only used U17 players once all season and that was in the Modbury game, due to injuries.
Para and Modbury were both in the same side of the JPL Cup draw.
Modbury were knocked out by Comets in the first round, but a month later you picked up one of Comets best players, so all was not lost.
Para Hills beat Comets in the next round, without our goalkeeper playing (a field player had to stand in) and one sub on the bench.
2 rounds later Para Hills are now in the Final of the Cup, without using any U15 or U17 players.

Cheers, we will see you at Hindmarsh Stadium.
All facts above are true and i hope you win at Hindmarsh you deserve to be in the cup final!
Do you honestly believe you would have won the game with out the two 17s!
We will be pushing you all the way,we will not give up until it is impossible to catch you!
If you do the double your boys can be proud and i will be the first to say well done.

As for Black and White I hope you find out that you are the most unrespected person at Para Hills by your own club/fellow coachs and players.

You may think you know who I am, but I doubt very much, nice try though !!

Unfortunately, there are a couple of people at para hills who frequently get asked if they are Black and white, but the only person who does know, is the person who switches on his p.c. and sees Black and White in the top left hand corner when he logs in to this website.

nevermind.

gowans49 you may be able to answer this question, word has it that Modbury U17 A, squad are unable to field a complete squad for season 08 matches.

Modbury U16 squad have played as many weekday night matches as possible allowing them to free players for U17 and U15 commitments on Sundays.

Congratulations on this sportsman like conduct and being perfectly legal within the rules of the game.

with no A or B divisions there must be alot of 10 - 0 games and i wouldnt want to be in a team where i will lose 10 -0 or win 10-0 each week cos your not learning anything.

i think the league should just be scrapped. this would also take out some of the dropping 17s players back to 16s to make sure the team won.... which i witnessed first hand at the 16s modbury vs para hills game.
Have you ever watched Blue Eagles under 16's mate?

I still dont know why you think it is ok! for Modbury to play U17s (due to injury), but not Para Hills, and yes, I do believe we would have won the game if we would have had the 3 U16 boys who were injured playing (I cant prove it though), they are all attacking players who can score goals. I too spoke to people after the game, and everyone, including the neutrals, all said that the Para team played the better football and were stronger in defence and midfield. I personally thought the only time Modbury were on top was in the 15 mins before halftime. But everyone sees the game differently.

Thanks for the well wishes in the cup final. Cheers.

yes this is correct the u16 squad have mainly been helping the 17s with up to 5 players playing two games every weekend.
To a lesser degree we have helped the U15s when they have been injury depleted, and the u16s coach is always telling the boys the club is bigger than anyone team.

I believe the only reason the Modbury u16 coach brought the one u17 boy down to play was because he had been informed by several Para Hills boys a few days before that they were bringing down two of the best players from NC u17 squad.
I would rather have had both squads play only there actual squads with out lending from any grade but i am not silly enough to think that would happen, and as your club proved in the first encounter when NO u17s played by either club, you came out deserving winners.
But i believe the two U17s you brought in, one of which scored a goal and the other one made two were the sole difference, besides that the two teams were both extremely competitive.

service_krew wrote:even after all that i still say the league useless. its there for the rubbish kids that dont have the speed or the skills for the 17s. i know i condridict myself by playing in it. i choose to play 16sbecause it was the "easy league" as this year was my first year back in the game from injury after 2 years.

So are you saying that you could have played U17 this year (and chose not to) but your Modbury team mates aren't good enough to play U17. I was told (by someone from the Jets) that a lot of your 16's could have played for the U17's this year, but also chose not to.

The top 4 or 5 teams in the U16 NE league are very good teams with some excellent players (I cant comment on the SW league), but the lower teams also have some very good players (you could say this about every league in the JPL). You should know this as your side picked up a player from The Comets U16's a couple of days after Para knocked them out of the cup, and a month after Comets had knocked you out of the cup.

Finally. Bringing a couple of players down when required (due to injuries etc) is no big deal. This has happened against my team regularly for the past 4 seasons, and is certainly not confined to the U16 league.
