Ingle Farm ( 0 ) Elizabeth Downs ( 5 )

A good performance from a restructured and youthful Downs side at Ingle Farm today made it 9 goals for and nil against in their last two outings.
Farm never seemed to recover from the Downs taking the lead in the first 5 minutes from the penalty spot.
Bert Fuda was absent from the side but his vocal presence was obvious as he seemed to assume the Downs coaching role.
The most obvious improvement for the Downs ( from the games I have watched this year ) was a fit Kraig Andrews up front with his ability to hold the ball up and lay it off to Brenton Agars and Tom Radford.
Farm had to resort to mostly long range efforts and could not stamp their authority in the middle of the park.
Make no mistake, the Downs can't win the league this year but their Round 16 clash with Elizabeth Vale will play a huge role in who might take out the Division 1 title.
I thought the score was only 0-4 and must have missed a goal whilst jaywalking was making my steak sandwich...
My son wants to go back to Farm again for another chicken yiros...at least the barbie is in good form...cheers lads.
Ingle Farm's goal was under pressure from the kick off !
Brenton Agars sends Robbie Greenwood the wrong way from the penalty spot in the ~5th. minute.
Ben Aldridge has a relatively calm first half as a somewhat smaller Downs following watches on.
Farm fail to take advantage of Downs keeper Aldridge being velcroed to the cross bar !
Matty "Red" Andrews and Brenton Agars along with all of the Downs lads fought hard for the ball all day.
Chances go begging at both ends of the park.
Edgey judges a good cross to head home Downs second goal midway through the first half.
"bigazz" watches on protected by the Hain Family Security firm and stand in coach Bert Fuda mentally chases every ball !
Downs captain, Steven Hughes leads his team out of defence and Brenton Agars surges forward for another charge at the Ingle Farm goal.
Kraig "Harry" Andrews gave the Downs a third option up front along with Radford and Agars !
Ingle Farm prepare for a free kick but Benny Aldridge accounts for the attempt with relative ease.
Tom Radford showed many fine touches and a lot of determination.
Downs celebrate as Kraig Andrews notches their 4th. goal for the day.
Minutes later Anthony Hulls congratulates Brenton Agars on scoring the Downs 5th. goal.
Reserves
Ingle Farm ( 0 ) Elizabeth Downs ( 1 )
Anthony Hulls and the Downs celebrate the goal that decided todays encounter and brought both teams on level points on the table.
Aaron Davey, who remained fully conscious for this year encounter, clears under pressure for the Downs in a congested area.
Veteran referee Glynn Cawthorne shows a colour sample of his shirt material to everyone... There were strong contests all over the park for this top of the table clash.
The safe hands of keeper Davey ensure the Downs Reserves remain in the race for a third consecutive title....but there's a lot of work left to do.
Farms reserves have a 5 goal buffer with 4 games remaining...no room for errors !
