Re: Semi-Final Results
U 16s
Para Hills 5 Birkalla 1
Good hard game - the score doesn't really reflect that, the margin being more a measure of Para's size than anything else. Para came out hard and fast and had the majority of the play. The Birks defence held them and frustrated them time and again, but when you're facing repeated attacks, sooner or later any defence will crack and that's what happened. Para took the first goal after one of those goal mouth scraps that sees the ball being bumped from player to player, eventually finding a Para boot with the keeper on the other side of the goal. Para kept up the pressure and scored a second later in the half, Birkalla thumping in a reply before half time. At that stage, Para looked like winning but Birkalla were threatening a come back. The second half was a hard fought, fairly torrid affair apart from a 5 minute spell where Para banging in two good goals. It was easy to see why Para have done so well this year.
The pitch was a shocker and definitely ruined the game - semi finals deserve better but thanks to Campbelltown for hosting the game and doing the best they could to present the pitch. I was also surprised that the FFSA chose not to provide linesmen - sorry, I won't accept 'not enough refs' as an excuse for a semi final, especially as we've seen inept linesmen ruin games this year. Having said that, the two gentlemen who volunteered did an excellent and fair job as did the ref.
Well done Para. Next stop, the final

Adelaide city 2 -0 raiders..
raiders were all over them in the first 10 mins and then they scored. the second goal was from a corner. they scored in the first half and raiders put up a great fight in the second half.

Buddy, I heard it from a mate, and I assumed it was right, I didn't write the scores because I didn't know. To be honest I don't really care who made the final, but good luck to whoever made it anyway.BliNk wrote:pulse wtf r u on about?
