Should be interesting game. A few ex Fulham players now playing for West Beach. Bring it on :D
Yeah should be a good game but Im sure West Beach would have a few 1st team players "stacked" in there B grade team after there 1st teams early exit from the cup where as Fulham will be prersenting a true Reserves side that has got them this far in the cup and has been a great effort considering the 1st team used 18 players in its cup games.
I can't speak for every club but I would think most Reserves teams would be made up of "proud" players who wouldn't give up their position in the team very easily. Likewise, if the club has a dedicated Reserves coach I don't think he would like to be told who to play and upset the balance of his team.
The term "stacking" is bandied around quite a lot in the Reserve Cup but often reserve players perform well and injuries occur so they end up in the 1st team and then play for the team they started with in the cup.

Southern Knights will be stacked with Over 35's - hopefully I can be called a "ring in" again - although scored an OG last week so I doubt it!

Exactly right swannsong - we have a couple of first team players that joined our club after our first team had already been knocked out of the cup. Therefore, they have played in our Reserves cup side since Round 2.

This ski slope... is that the one off the Fairfax/Baldock road corner?

Aldo,
Well looking forward to playing on a decent pitch for a change. Yeah, we also have about 2 players who are eligible to play in the B's as they were injured when the A's got knocked out early. Not sure that is an advantage or not though!!

So you playing in the back lines? I'll be upfront - so you wont have much running to do.

I will almost certainly be in the backlines - that said, I made a cameo up front off the bench for our First Team last week, and managed to score a nice goal. I am trying to convince the coaches that I should play there every week, but to no avail! :D

You better not run too much, or might have to give you a couple of love-taps to slow you down

Looking forward to the game though..always a good banter between the players and supporters! Will be interesting with the close links between the clubs!
Quite surprised he is playing C's - he is a player who always gives 100% and was a very tough player when he was out at Fulham - handy C player to have in your squad.

Should be a good game - the Reserves will be looking forward to it.

He prefers C's and doesn't train because he trains the kids Tuesday/Thursday nights! I had to draft him in because we were short of players.

Agreed a tough player and always gives a 100%...that's why I convinced him to leave Fulham and play for the Beach 2 years ago and bring along the other ex-fulham lads.

Cupround is the weekend of the 16th and 17th Keano.

Hoepfully we can knock them off in both games.

Downs and Farm has to be the tie of the round in the Ressies....Interesting to see what A players are available for the Farm ;-)

I have noticed that the Cup draw seems to pair Northern teams against other Northern teams and the same with the Southern teams. It can't be a random draw ...basically i think they don't want Ingle Farm to win it this year!

I wouldn't class Sturt v Farm an all southern tie :?
Being the only saturday cup tie I'll probably go to that one, depending on what league matches are on offer that weekend.

Bodo,

It seems the league, pair certain teams together!! Beach ressies always seems to get drawn against Fulham, St Peters and Wanderers in the Cup every year in the latter stages..not once in 3 years as Coach have i had to travel to the Northern suburbs for a cup game ;-)

Just seems Strange...ingle farm and downs again!!

In the latter stages only a handful of teams are left... the chances of drawing a specific team is much highter than that for the first round (1/7 compared to 1/63). If the teams you mentioned above including yourselves survive longer you should stand a good chance of drawing the same team.

Bobo,

I know if the same 8 teams get to the quarter-final every year then you are likely to get a similiar draw every year!Random Probability would differ with the odds of 7/1 though

.All i was saying ,i just noticed a pattern..certain teams get drawn against certain teams in the quarters/last sixteen! Ensuring there will be team from the Southern areas in the semi's...

Maybe I am wrong but it just seems strange..By the way, i predicted we would get Fulham in the quarters when i seen the teams left! The same as last year, i said we would get Wanderers and we did!Just have to wait until next year to see if we get them again

As a player, I dont expect you to get it bodo...... but i agree with beach_driller, it seems the same teams every year....... fulham will be a massive test though as they want the step u to div one and have knocked off all div 1 comers before them, even with bigpond being a b!tch and trying to make excuses already, it will be a tough game and I look forward to the encounter...

Chelsea have met Liverpool three times in the last four years in the semis of the uefa leage... the draw must be rigged Image

And the "as a player"... what's that supposed to mean? Is it relevant? Image

It seems to have all worked out for the best - the ex-Fulham players are happy and Fulham have re-grouped on and off the park and the results are speaking for themselves on the park.

The club will always survive no matter what as we all know the saying the club is bigger than any one player and that's why Fulham have been around since 1970.

Quite clearly Inter and Fulham (so far) have been a cut above where as in the past Div 2 has been quite tight especially last year with 4 or 5 teams vying for promotion right to the end.

Our ressies will give it there best shot and will be fighting right to the end.

I heard a rumour about the cup draw. Seemingly each comitee member sticks a piece of paper with a club written on it on their forehead. They all stand in a circle masterbating and the first two to ejaculate get their correspoding teams paired together. Then the second two etc.

The thing is people usually get the same teams stuck on their forehead so the normal orgasm times dictates the draw.

Ingle farm and the downs are always first with the trembling knees because the comitee love them and sometimes the draw is made before their pants are even down. :D

I've heard of the draw taking up to three hours sometimes because some teams are full of gawkies.

Bigpond,

How is the pitch looking for the weekend???

Every club is bigger than one player! Especially a B's player or C's..Unfortunately, the player we are discussing won't be available as he did his knee against Vale. So there will be only one ex-fulham player in the squad this weekend.

You guys are travelling well in the A's ..Looks like promotion is one win away! Fingers crosses Beach can stay up and we can have a local derby next year

And the B's are travelling well in the league and Cup. Beaten some Div 1 sides as well in the Cup..shows a good spirit! Helps having a player of Petch's quality in the B's Cup side though. Be interesting to see Manca and him competing in the middle.

should be a good game this week - B's have been very consistent this year and will give 100%.

Pitch is never an issue at Fulham - probably best surface in the Amateur League.

We still have to get promoted and Beach still have to avoid relegation so derby talk next year is way to early.

hey driller, i dont think its fair that all us normal b players have to step aside for the cup, just so we can stack the side with all of the players from our a's. we deserve to have a go
hmmmm , cant argue with that.
