Re: Channel 7 coverage of the Olyroos
Come it is the olympics and not about one sport. As like most I would like to see the olyroos play live. Channel 7 should show the first game live but the reason why they are delaying it because of $$$$$. Example of this is AFL delayed because they get more money for ads at a later time slot and they can fit more ads in as well.
The thing is when the olympics have started they have to show it evenly to australian public. People may say the opals should get there games shown live every time because they are world champs. Or for swimming because that is our most successful sport. The problem is in the olympics no one really comes out as a winner.

Re: Channel 7 coverage of the Olyroos
Wake up peeps. The Olympics is a huge event featuring hundreds of sports. You don't even get full coverage of the big rating events like swimming, so you can't go demanding it for soccer unless the game starts claiming big ratings. A football game takes 2 hours, there is a lot of other stuff they can put in that time slot. We're actually getting a pretty good deal but unless people watch it, it'll fade away. If people watch it, we'll get greater coverage.
So rather than whine and winge, get all your mates to tune in ... especially if they've got a ratings box

Re: Channel 7 coverage of the Olyroos
because they have access to 2 tv Lines they use, +3 unused, as do SBS so we could have the choice of 4+ sports at one time!
And, if you read the article the game is before the opening ceremony so how many potential clashes do you forsee?

I am sick of the campagin to get football on commercial free to air, don't bother they can't handle it and never have.
Its got to be Foxtel or SBS only.

Re: Channel 7 coverage of the Olyroos
Three hour delay almost.
Adverts during the game.
Why the long half time, when delayed anyway.
Well all those individuals who push for football on free to air, be carefull you just got a glimpse of what you will get!!!
