Is there a point to this thread ? Some teams go through periods of poor results, I am not sure anything is gained by highlighting them on a forum. Good luck to all the teams mentioned may they work hard and take some lessons from the results. Set some small goals to work towards, a clean sheet for a half, 3 less goals against the same opponents, work hard and never give in.

Man, how bad are these teams. How can a team possibly average of 10 goals a game.

It happens to a few teams every year in the juniors, it's just the way things go sometimes with the movement of players and coaches between clubs each season. No big deal, the players that enjoy playing for the enjoyment of the game don't mind. If anyone has a problem with getting beaten each week, it's usually the parents.

If i had a son that could only make a bad team e.g NAB i would pull him out of soccer. Waste of $200-300 a year so that my son can see opposition players dribble past him the whole game.

$2-$300..? lol...mate, try doubling that at least to see how much parents pay in fees. $500 at most clubs, and $800 at Adelaide City.

Exactly! He would only be discouraged because you would not support him, where as I have seen that encouragement can bring results. Here's a real life example from a friends experience for ya: In 2004 a Plympton under 12 team scored, I think, 2 goals and conceeded around 180 goals for the season. Some of the parents were so embarassed that they dragged their sons out of soccer like you would have. The coach was encouraging and so were the remaining parents. The coach would set them goals such as not being beaten by 10 goals by a team that had scored 12 against them last time. It was amusing to see the faces of the oposition when the lads came off smiling and high-fiveing from a 9-0 loss. One of the lads got invited to play for Adelaide City juniors and is probably still playing. Some of the others may have gone on to play because they actually enjoyed just playing. The lad we know is still playing, has worked hard and now plays in the reserves at Pirates. Why encourage lads to be quitters, Montanha|Campeo, unless you have been brought up soft and encouraged to give up when things don't always go your way?

3 cheers for Mr T, I too have lived through similar experiences and have come out the other end feeling much better about myself.

Hopefully Montanha|Campeo you never have children... your attitude seems to come from the Abe Simpson school of parenting.

Why not put him in an E&D team then??

hey, it's not top secret. Go to the FFSA site and look at the league tables. It's open to the public. Don't be so precious.

i agree with you povman, all those knocking the teams who cop a pummeling now and again you will find that not all players in those squads are of poor quality. I coach a team who have been given a few hidings and are leaky at the back but i have 5 or 6 exciting prospects for the future and one of them is training with the u19s at 14yrs old so as a coach thats what you want. Its not all about winning its more so development.

It may be $800, but I'd say its worth it, the way they develop there players, don't you think?

speaking of that plympton u12 team who conceded way over 100 goals, i believe the goal keeper has moved on from that and is now playing at a very high level for his age, i think 23's in premier league. correct me if im wrong just heard it from a mate who use to play there. also not sure wat club hes at.

western strikers was a complete mistake of having them in the A,s.
i believe they had asked to be dropped to the B,s but it didnt happen.
so maybe its the way that junior federation has positioed this teams.
para hills are in the B,s and are dominating so why have the strikers in the A,s para in theB,s.
