You, personally, gave me no reason to. You had a little chuckle though when I gave the comeback to your crowd calling me fat. Tried to concentrate on the game, i fired up once my groin went though. Even your crowd were singing songs just for me, i think they were anyway, had difficulty hearing them.

I wasn't quiet when I scored my "goal". :D
What happened in the game Hawksey? Did you guys have a realistic chance of winning at any stage?
to be fair, wanderers were the better side and deerved to win but they scored from a debateable penalty for a handball. Definitely hit his arm, but where was the deliberate act? you see them sometimes given, sometimes not. We equalised right on the stroke of half time, with a backpost looping header. They kicked off and the whistle was blown for ht.

THEN disaster truck, our starplayer :D limped off with a groin strain :( .

I think with about 15 to go, they had a player sent off for a second booking. I really can't believe it took them that long, but then they did share their bookings around. Must have had about 5/6 booked i think. They scored the winner not long after that. We pushed for the equalier in the last 10 and were looking the better side but then we dropped to 10 ourselves after 2 bad fouls in about 3 minutes from the same bloke.

Wanderers are a good side but dirty and whinge if you even consider tackling them.

lol, I don't know how many times on here I've heard they've had five players missing (almost every round). Rotating suspensions perhaps :D

A's or B's coach! Please say A's coach, I like an excuse to take the piss out of the Burnley Bomber.

No, it was the B's (he was English but I'm not sure from what part). The A's was actually a good game despite no goals.

Dirty & whinging - normally ur comments seem fair Hawksey, but ur lads could also use some lessons in tackling - I certainly never chopped u from behind, but serioulsy the whinging card is a bit old now.
I saw ur supporters jump up when a mis-timed tackle was laid - does that constitute whinging 'cos all teams do this every week. Let's get some new material please and good luck in Div 2...

What do you know about soccer? You sit on the bench for a relegated side.. Instead of employing dirty tactics to try and win, how about match winning tactics? Useless.....

He wasn't on the bench, he played. US employing dirty tactics, funniest thing you have ever said. He's also right about the whingeing, I reckon I'd still be married if I wanted to listen to that on a saturday.

Pretty poor comment there bodo... The one-eyed club referee certainly explains why uni reserves have not been beaten at home.

That's only second or third game he's reffed for us at home. Can't really call him one eyed when he's whistling for offside even when your linesman hasn't flagged.

Your linesman in the second half also made a few dodgy decisions. The one in the first half was quite good.

Adelaide Villa 2 Hahndorf 1
Adelaide Villa 5 Hahndorf 0 (B's)

OK result for both teams. Sort of played to there level but always knew we had their measure. They're definitely not a Div 2 side but play with heart. Special comment for the opposing goalkeeper. Sure that even they would agree that he kept them in the game.

PS- May have a new secret weapon for the rest of the season......

It's probably your linesman, he admitted after the game most of the offsides he flagged were wrong

Sirslapsalot - I had absolutely no problems with your conduct in terms of comments or tackles. The true definition of hard but fair - but you were one of very few.

I guess if the whingeing card is getting old, it must have some legs if everyone is using it.

What are you confused about mate - I was trying to say all teams whinge (not just the mighty Wanderers) when a bad tackle happens or when a bad decision happens by the ref etc and lets face it, it is amateurs - it's not like we're playing for sheep stations, pride definitely.

It seems apart from the Roo factor, people have issue with Wanderers 'cos they're top of the tree - I say get over it, some one else will be top of the tree in a few years from now and then everyone will turn on them... we'll just keep winning whether it's 14-1 or 2-1, a wins a win :)

I can't remember any previous years where teams have so many problems with the team at the top of the tree. I had presumed the issue was exactly as you described until about 3:10pm yesterday.

In about the first 2 minutes we were all weak because the ref gave us a free kick, 2 minutes later we're all dirty because a foul was given against us. You can't have it both ways. I didn't hear you moan once and I know you didn't hear me but as I said, you were one of the few.

Fair enough, onto next week. Big derby (type) game for us with Gleeson who have several ex Iggies players and an ex Iggies coach.
