Gardens 1 Florina 1 when I left.

Florina had two great chances one hitting the bar, Gardens had a cracking shot that just passed the bar and also lobbed an advancing keeper but was too high.

Finished 1-1

East 0 Farm 0

Great game again by our boys! Showed that we're still well in the fight for survival.
We were unlucky today and probably should have won the game. Plenty of chances, a few crossbars, but sometimes its just not going for you.

Southern Knights ( 0 ) Elizabeth Grove ( 1 )
Grove scored late in the second half ~88th minute.
Knights on top in the first half but couldn't capitalize.
Grove seemed to dominate the second half.

Reserves
Southern Knights ( 2 ) Grove ( 6 ) I think !

West Beach 1 - Para Hills West 3
Cracking start to the first half saw us bang in 3 goals in the first 25 or so minutes to really take the sting out of the contest. Second half saw a much more even half with plenty of chances created by both teams. Beach won a penalty which was pushed wide of goal. They spent much of the second half with 3 or 4 up front or close to it. Eventually a goal came after a long ball that beat the fullback was tucked away on the rebound from 6 yards out. We created enough clear cut chances in the last 25 mins to make it 7 or 8 but had to make do with 3. The race for the title is hotting up!!!

you and your club are a joke east boy, I was behind the goal listening to your coach threatening to kill the ref!
the tactics you had were a disgrace too, I feel sorry for ingle farm, they battered you on the pitch in the 1st half
and were unlucky not to be 3 up before the restart, pure dirt was your only response.
Well done though to your sweeper who played approx 80 minutes with a leg injury and never looked threatened, although I think the shouting
towards the ingle farm coach
at the end of the game was a bit out of order even if he was happy with the result.

I hope your club gets a ban for this and that :clown: of a coach gets a life ban, I watched the game last year against elizabeth downs
and he was the same then, I'm assuming it was the same bloke judging by the language coming out of his mouth towards the ref.

Hard not to hear it pires, he was shouting it loud enough, he even carried on with his vitriol as he was behind the goal.
He got sent off for abusing the ref as far as i'm aware

As a rule I don't like criticising referees but the B's referee today had a shocker. Not sure if he belongs to the San Marco club as he was in a full referees kit. With the score at 0-0 Munno Para had a player fouled in the box and whilst both benches acknowledged it was a dead set penalty (and it certainly looked like one from where I was) the referee adjudged him to have dived and booked the player. Some words were exchanged and two more Para players were booked, including one who had already been shown a yellow card and he was given his marching order. Some moments later another incident in the other penalty box resulted in a penalty being awarded to San Marco which again from where I was standing looked like a penalty. San Marco took the lead from the resulting spot kick and within sixty seconds of the restart it was 2-0 with a well taken goal. I thought that Para might have fallen apart after the that but it wasn't until a few minutes before half time that San Marco added a third. Munno Para took the game to San Marco in the second half and with the number of men they had free you'd have thought it was San Marco down to ten men. Despite this San Marco somehow managed to score another two in the second half to claima 5-0 route, but Munno Para could justifiably felt hard done by.

The A's was in comparison a quiet affair, but still an entertaining game. Half time at 0-0, Munno Para was forced to change keepers after a collision with an opposition player. I didn't see how the contact was made but he did look a little dazed and was subsituted on the spot. I think he was taken away after that (probably to be checked up) and hope that he is alright. By the looks of it Munno Para didn't have a replacement keeper ready on the bench and an outfield player got kitted up for the role. He did quite well, but it was San Marco scored two second half goals to win the match.

Perhaps Farm should have contacted East during the week and asked them to lie down and hand over the points, a scrappy game is exactly what you would expect, a team worthy of the league title can step up and overcome these conditions, not just play as frontrunners.

Gardens 1 - Florina 1.

Shit game - Gardens scored a cracker.....Florina had the majority of the game, but failed to capitalise. Disappointing - as that know just about puts us out of the league.

He did quite well, but it was San Marco scored two second half goals to win the match.
A very disappointing day for Munno Para. San Marco deserved the wins in both grades as they ended up being the better teams in the end, but the day was not without it's frustrations.

In the A's I felt it was a tale of two halves, with San Marco well on top in the first and Munno Para on top in the second. Para were very lucky to be level at half time but probably unlucky to have two goals scored against the flow of play in the second. I was extremely disappointed that a headed equaliser for Munno Para was ruled offside, I couldn't actually judge from where I was but the linesman only put his flag up after the ball hit the net (which was a long time after the ball had been played) which in a tense game doesn't give you much faith. Put it up straight away or don't put it up at all.

But, as said, in the end San Marco were better in the end and deserved the wins and Munno Para probably played one of their worst games for the year and didn't.

In the B's the San Marco again deserved the win and I want illustrate that point clearly first. The biggest problem I have was that the referee basically stole away any chance a very young and undermanned team had to get into this game. I overheard the San Marco A's coach talking about how he too had serious reservations about this ref, so why keep using him?

In the first ten minutes Munno Para jumped out of the blocks and were on top in these early stages. That is where the game effectively ended for them.

A well timed through ball played one of the Munno Para defenders clear into the box, he was bumped and taken out from the side, lost his balance and went down and it was a clear penalty. Not to pay a penalty is one thing, to give him a yellow for diving was ridiculous. In the ensuing madness a player was given a red for swearing at his own players to get on with it and push back.

The ball went up the other end and a very soft penalty was awarded up the other end. It was probably there, but there really wasn't much in it. Inconsistency doesn't cover it.

10 men on the large Campbelltown pitch against a good team for almost a whole game was always going to be impossible. I don't want to take anything away from San Marco because they ended up being the better team and took their chances when they had to, but really the ref gave Munno Para no chance. I know that the ref is an official ref not a club ref, but even the San Marco A grade coach conceded how bad and biased he was so it would be good to see someone else called in next time.

Good luck to San Marco boys for the rest of the year and it was good to hear the player involved with the (accidental) late challenge on our keeper apologised after the game.

congratulations to a minoity of Bosna players who bring ridicule and shame to their club and people...............

its just not football!! :( :(

blatant cheating by B' ref (that was expected... so no big deal) (we won, so its not whinging)

however,

a flying karate kick which connected half way up the leg
raptor players came in to support injured player. their GK then headbutted our player, probably broke his nose
to justify his actions, their GK told their supporter that we called him a 'muslim so and so' - absolute lie
then the irony of it all was to hear their first team GK revert to 'nationalistic' baiting of our players

well done to the one Bosna official who took our word for the B' game incident....

in future, it might be worth paying for an official ref or video taping the game and letting them know that you are doing it!!!!

I couldn't give a rats about ingle farm, I was a spectator and I agree with you, the game was theirs in the first half
and the second half you never allowed them to get into a rhythm due to your dubious tactics, scrappy? more like vicious.
Do you condone it?
or the coaches actions?

yes I was behind the goal when I heard the shouting.

Sunday Div 3

B's - Adelaide Vikings 3 v El Salvador 0 (forfeit, only 3 players turned up and then left)
A's - Adelaide Vikings 3 v El Salvador 0 (forfeit, 5 players turned up then left before kick off time)

3 points for both teams but frustrating after a week off the previous week, especially since we spoke to the El Salvador team contact the day before to confirm both A's & B's games were still on.

I remember being at that same Para Hill East v Downs game at the end of season 2007 where the Downs sealed the league title.
I said something to the Para Hills East's coach about not setting a good example the way he was carrying on about the referee ( I had my 2 young sons with me ).
I got a bit of a mouthful back from him and he blamed that referee for a lot of East's woes that year.
East were cruising toward victory against the Downs at 2-0 and seemed to resort to time wasting, eventually it ended 2-3 to the Downs.
At the end of the game East's was being held back from the referee by some of the East officials.
For a coach with his track record at East I was a bit surprised !

Not that it matters, but the player that scored it felt he was definitely on (and he is the sort of bloke that would say if he was off).

But my issue isn't whether he was or wasn't offside, like I said I wasn't really in a good position to judge. My issue is that it wasn't until the ball hit the net that the linesman scrambled to get his flag up. It was unfortunate for Munno Para that the ref, who obviously watched the ball till it was in, didn't look at the linesman 2 seconds earlier because he would have seen him put it up late.

I guess it is just a little frustrating and leaves a sour taste.
