Results 26th july

A's: Adelaide Uni 0 Gleeson 0
B's: Adelaide Uni 1 Gleeson 0

The A's was quite an even affair. Both teams had chances to win it at the end but overall I think a draw was a fair result.

In the reserves I think Adelaide Uni had the better of the first half and missed about four good chances to score. Gleeson had a couple of their own but poor shooting from both sides meant it was 0-0 going into the break. Neither keeper had a save to make. More of the same in the second half and both sides were becoming more sloppy giving the ball away frequently. Uni got a late winner which despite the linesman's flag was NOT offside and referee correctly overruled it.

I'd agree with that, a draw was a fair result. I thought the big tall guy for Gleeson had a good game, (and running in to him is like going straight in to a wall). Was a good fun game actually and I really enjoyed myself. Battle in the middle of the table is gonna be tight :D Bodo you shoulda come over and introduced yourself, I was the centre back with the orange boots :D

I presume it's the first team... good result, although as I said after your game against Beograd your team can play when it wants to. Did you bag the winner?

Relegation dogfight is hotting up... and the losers of the Africa v Bosa tie would surely be pretty nervous now (unless it was a draw which wouldn't have impressed either of them).

With the orange head band? I saw you go to ground once in the first half.
Next time I shall say hello. I did speak with Stobbo today.

Where were you today, not playing? [/quote]

Actually, i got the score wrong because according to the wanderers coach it was only 2-1 because the keeper scored one of the Iggies goals. Bit harsh to say something like that about one of your players!

The same keeper by the way, who I congratulated from behind the goals for 2 very good saves off headers from corners to keep the score level.and 2 saves from shots in the 6 yard box

Hate to say it but Navarino's win sends you to rock bottom. Just waiting for Bodes or someone to post the Bosa result so I can complete the table.

That'd be me, lol, I had to try to contest that ball tho, was there to be won, unfortunately where as it was a heading attemp for me, the other dude was tall enough he could just run through it. I think if we had a number 9 (a finishing striker) we'd be doing a lot better than we are. It's what we're sorely lacking atm.

We tried hard to drop points today, we were ordinary to say the least but Stirling rarely looked like scoring.

Was a very good result considering the underman A's (thru Injuries and Suspension) Must say the New Signings look great with both Netting a goal each.

The B's decided to wake up after they went 3-0 down to fight back and at least consolidate a point. Very poor first half. I think the Grilling they got from the Prez really shook them up.

Overall we are very happy at the risk we took making changes to the club in the mid season. Things are really coming Through on the positive side. Team Bond is at a high and Club atmosphere is good.

Scared of playing against me?

At the end of the day, you beat us 2-1 but it took a debatable penalty to do so.

Geez you guys on here aren't wrong about Wanderers. I've never seen them play before today but my god they were dirty and whingers. The stupid thing is that they don't need to be, some of the technical skill of those guys (up front) was pretty amazing.

Are u being serious?
Now I know u saw most of the b's game from the bench (unless u have another guy they call Kitch) and then ur own team were heckling u when u came on!
Both games yesterday had some niggle in it and let's face it, it would make for a pretty boring contest if there wasn't. Iggies gave as good as they got - although Hawksey was fairly quiet yesterday...

There is a huge difference between being hard and being dirty. Some of the tackles flying in in this game at the end could have seen someone leaving in an ambulance. I was very suprised they kept 11 on the pitch for as long as they did.

Cougars 1-2 Flinders Uni (A's)
Cougars 3-2 Flinders Uni (B's)

I also know that Adelaide uni forfeit against southern breakers, which is pretty poor.

As for the cougars flinders games, the B's was a cracker with thelead changing a few times and Cougars scoring thewinner with the last kick of the match. Was amusing to see the linesman (cougars) run across the pitch in the first half and then enter the bar in the 2nd half because he didn't want to run the line
As for the A's Cougars went down to 10 men at the end of the first half for retaliation (head butt), every time we play them they get a player sent off. After the player got sent off there was a wanker on the sidelines shouting at our players telling us we should pick on him instead of ther youngest player (he was doing this dragging his 6 year old next to him) but nobody did anything to the player, it was a foul from our guy cause thier guy was bombing down the wing, we held him up, then he turned around and head butted a player. The guy on the sidelines was the same guy that took his shirt off a year ago against us and said to our bench "Ill fucking fight any one of you for $500" he is a right arse clown.

You, personally, gave me no reason to. You had a little chuckle though when I gave the comeback to your crowd calling me fat. Tried to concentrate on the game, i fired up once my groin went though. Even your crowd were singing songs just for me, i think they were anyway, had difficulty hearing them.

I wasn't quiet when I scored my "goal". :D

What happened in the game Hawksey? Did you guys have a realistic chance of winning at any stage?
