Yes, it was a foul, and you got your freekick... but whinge about a card... just be grateful you were still on the park!
Ask for a player to get a card when I'm reffing and you go in the book yourself!!
Agreed, I would have booked myself for the slap then sent myself off for the later incident!

- Although what I actually said was "play advantage or book the guy" - surely as a referee of some repute and Bodo as a learned supporter you would have played advantage???

That's a fair call. See quite a few incidents where you think it would be better to play advantage if there was one... and you can always go back and book the player if you think it requires one. I just thought it was funny because of what happened a few minutes earlier.

A lot of funny comments came out of your crowd. There was one in the first half where the Adelaide defender whacked the ball staright into one of your players in the face (1m away, no time to react) and it went out for a throw and the coach says "c'mon I want you to control the ball".

You must have done a good job since I can't remember shouting at you during the game. :D
I only had one offside to call in the whole game and that was on the far side, plus he was off by at least two metres and no one complained about it. Did you score the fifth goal?

Nah. The guy that came on for me scored the fifth goal. I was the Beach captain.

Well in to the Beach, better team on the day and a better squad than last year... don't want to jinx you, but could and probably should go one step further this year. Will be out to support you in the next round.

I don't think the second yellow was for the challenge on Simon, I think it was for making sure the ref knew how bad he was going for the first 80 minutes of the game.

Well done to the grove i told people dont underestimate them second half and extra time was quite entertaining. Good luck for the next draw proved to be giant killers in the cup so far.

Munno Para gave us a decent run in the reserves as well credit to them. i expected more crap in goals mind you 8)
