Re: Best Junior Coach?
Your kidding me, rightDennis Mobbs the U17 coach from Salisbury is a good coach
This guy must be the most overrated coach in Adelaide.
What he did to that zone side was disgraceful. Telling the lads if he had picked the side most wouldn't be in it.

Re: Best Junior Coach?
I think sometimes people need to do some research before posting, i know the guy very well and there is no way he would have told any kids if he picked the side they would not have been in it... He is all for the kids and the development of kids in the sport..And if we are talking about a zone side for E&D last year he did pick the side!!! and took them to win the championship..But if we are talking about the Talent ident Weekend he definate did not pick that squad and was thrown in the deep end at the last minute to coach as they did not have a coach!!!
This Forum is about junior football and a question asked about who you think is a good junior coach not about blackmarking or bagging coaches we have not idea about

Ok - Red Mark
Fair call and agreed.
It seems some people have ulteria motives when they post. A coach who stands in rather than see a team go without shows dedication.
Lets keep it too the topic, if you like a coach post it, if you don't, keep it to yurself.

Re: Best Junior Coach?
You don't know him well enough then do you. Just ask some of the lads in the team, they know exactly what he said. I couldn't give a rats if you don't like what I post, if you get upset with people disagreeing with you don't post.

dennis is my coach!!.....yea theres no way he wuld say that!!! way to big a heart for that!!!..... does anything and everything for his boys!! great coach.........just hav a look at his record both with zone and club....then tell me hes overated!
Re: Best Junior Coach?
You people defending your coach is great but you were not there, I was and so were other parents who had do convince their lads that they were good enough for the team. He told the lads if he had picked the side it would have been very different.
He said it and he's overrated. There I said it, Happy.
I blame FFSA for allowing E&D coaches to coach in the TIC

Bit rough criticising anybody who donates his time. Most times there is nobody else.
If no-one sticks up his hand there is no team and no games!
Lets talk about the good ones.

Martin has won the league titles from U/9-U/12 and during that time has won 2 cup finals out of 3, this was with his team that came from ttg then went to parahills in the U/11 and ended up winning in the federation leagues aswell
Good coach

I am wanting to know from others in the soccer community who they think is the best juniors coach.
At this point of time my vote would go to Mark Zito. Who has been coaching at Adelaide city for a while, this year he is coaching adelaide city U17's.
He is a hard worker and can really rev the boys up before a match.
Not only is it about his coaching but he has a good personality and is a friendly person.

This is true. In fact Martin Evans has never lost a league title from under 9's through to the U14b's, and his U16 team is currently top. In that time he has had at least 5 different squads. You would be hard pressed to find a coach that gets more respect and loyality from his teams.lets_talk_soccer wrote:Martin has won the league titles from U/9-U/12 and during that time has won 2 cup finals out of 3, this was with his team that came from ttg then went to parahills in the U/11 and ended up winning in the federation leagues aswell

In that time he has only had 2 squads. One squad carried through till U12s where it was then passed onto stan pamla, from there they won the league and cup and the following year came runners up in both, now they are the current U15As at Parahills. The second squad martin took over was in the U13Bs and they are now the U16s. Never losing a league is a big feat and most of those years never lost a game!service_krew wrote:This is true. [quote]certainly an improvement from last year[quote] I dont think you can compare last years and this year coaches. Salisbury U15s are doing well with Pete as the coach. A job well done in my opinion. All the boys in the team are a great bunch too, so I guess that helps.
