I think sometimes people need to do some research before posting, i know the guy very well and there is no way he would have told any kids if he picked the side they would not have been in it... He is all for the kids and the development of kids in the sport..And if we are talking about a zone side for E&D last year he did pick the side!!! and took them to win the championship..But if we are talking about the Talent ident Weekend he definate did not pick that squad and was thrown in the deep end at the last minute to coach as they did not have a coach!!!

You people defending your coach is great but you were not there, I was and so were other parents who had do convince their lads that they were good enough for the team. He told the lads if he had picked the side it would have been very different.
He said it and he's overrated. There I said it, Happy.

Martin has won the league titles from U/9-U/12 and during that time has won 2 cup finals out of 3, this was with his team that came from ttg then went to parahills in the U/11 and ended up winning in the federation leagues aswell

I am wanting to know from others in the soccer community who they think is the best juniors coach.
At this point of time my vote would go to Mark Zito. Who has been coaching at Adelaide city for a while, this year he is coaching adelaide city U17's.
He is a hard worker and can really rev the boys up before a match.
Not only is it about his coaching but he has a good personality and is a friendly person.

This is true. In fact Martin Evans has never lost a league title from under 9's through to the U14b's, and his U16 team is currently top. In that time he has had at least 5 different squads. You would be hard pressed to find a coach that gets more respect and loyality from his teams.

The second squad martin took over was in the U13Bs and they are now the U16s. Never losing a league is a big feat and most of those years never lost a game!
