Congratulate to The Pontion Eagles on their success as Div 3 champions and good luck in the cup as minor underdogs.

P.S: LFTWNG I thought you played for Athelstone, did you move?
And if by chance an honest man such as yourself should make enemies then they would become my enemies, and then they would fear you

Did Limnos really win 2-1 against easties? It must be true as the Para Hills East boys are quiet 2day. Can anyone comment on the game?

I think you'll find the Croatia boys are happy in Div 3...sure they'd have liked to have won the League, and don't like losing, but the reality is if ya don't train ya ain't gonna win jack unless in the lower leagues.

If they went to Div 2 they'd cop more results like that every week with their lack of fitness and beers before and at h/t of their matches...played a good first half yesterday, were unlucky, but once they stopped for h/t they didn't start for the 2nd half either.

The boys are getting older...body can't do what it once used to. No leading scorer, and no goals either the past 3 weeks...shows how much they rely on Bobby up front.

Pontians & TTG deserve to go up, good luck to them.

Yeh just before the transfer window closed, I decided to go back to Payneham... was happy just for the boys to have me back

Blue Eagles 2 - 1 Payneham

We missed way too many chances, myself the main perp, and we paid for it...
You certainly gave me and my fellow defenders a few headaches all throughout the match! I won't say back luck for missing your chances, but you played well and in the right spirit of the game.
Yea I never said it was bad luck... thats for sure! My finishing this season to be totally honest has been disgraceful at best...

and thanks... its a bit hard not to play in the right spirit playing yesterday on that pitch! Plus you boys were more than fair... Good defensive game with the old catenaccio counters on your behalf...

Yeh Limnos A's won!

Pretty good game... We pretty much dominated the 1st half, but didnt manage to score. Our strikers shoulda pulled the trigger early instead of trying to beat that extra man.
Halftime was 0-0 and all the boys knew we were in with a real chance. PHE players starting arguing with the ref so we could tell they were gettin frustrated... Probs about 5 mins in Ross Kunt scored a nice left foot goa after beatin 4 playersl and then King scored by chipping the keeper about 10 mins later from a brilliant ball by the "Spaniolo"!
Then with about 15 mins left we decided to shut shop, but instead we conceded a goal. 2-1. Lucky our keeper Big Dave pulled off some great saves... His dive to the bottom right jst knockin the ball of the bar was great!
Held on for the win...

Big Dave BOG, Legend Killer then Spaniolo!

Well done lads

Are you the Frank Lampard of Payneham!?! Lots of opportunities, no goals! :D

No that would be unfair, you came a lot closer to scoring that Fat Frank did in the World Cup! At least you the post, which is a lot closer than he got!

Thanks also to you! We finally got our defence in order and managed to counter with some effect.

Pffft Frank Lampard... that bloke is a disgrace!

I would say more like Peter Crouch... I'm not a lanky muthfuka like him... but at least he plays for Liverpool!

ur not qualified 2 do the votes!!!

legend killer - 3 votes (didnt put a foot wrong all day and mopped up other defenders mistakes... yet another true skippers performance)

big dave - 2 votes (didnt make a save in the 1st half but pulled off 3 great saves towards the end)

rosskunt - 1 vote (tireless work upfront... gives other teams defenders headaches with quickfeet and superb dribbling + nice finish after good run that set up win)

spaniolo went off injured with 25 mins to go... big call for votes!!! played well and had a hand in 2nd goal
"Thats not sexy football!" and "Play the REAL one... again and again"

Yes it was me knight your stupid ref allowed the game to get out of hand.A grade ref was watching and thought he was a discrase that is why he reffed the second half. And what you should have said is the Maso lad set up a goal and got a HEAD BUT for his effort 4 stiches and a broken tooth and he did not throw a punch before or after.

YOUR GOAL KEEPER should expect the POLICE as an assult charge will be laid. I stand up for all my lads , if that makes me a muppet well just call me KING MUPPET.
have to be honest KM but i once wished that maco's get relegated but after playing pumas have to say i sooo hope they get the drop.

Bulldog, would agree with you on the Pumas call they should be kicked out of the league. However Macos have a couple of idiots but the players for the most part were ok and that shouldnt be forgotten.

I have been playing amateurs a few years now, and every week you see someone try and be the tough guy and throw his weight around. The lad that received the head butt had been trying to show his authority all match. As for the incident i was right there, the maso boy didn't hit our player first, however he did..and this is the truth... he made a move to throw a punch and did threaten, he just happened to do it to the very wrong person as we saw!
As for the police, if you expect some to come of it, just realise there a brawls in 10 differnet places every week of amateur sport. If you have ever been to a aussie rules amateur match you would know what i am talking about. And if you think that police are going to begin patrolling amateur sporting matches in case a punch is thrown, you must really be lost!
Finally, it was unlucky for the lad that got hit. Is just amateur soccer, we all work the next dayand the poor guy copped something that should have never happened.

Put it to bed lads, one of Macos boys planted a right hander on one of our players earlier this year then shit himself to come for a chat on the sidelines. It really shows a person for what they are play hard play fair if you cant take it dont give it out.

We have had a few punches thrown at us this year and would never dream of involving the police unless it resulted in major damage. You have to earn respect from people by being able to give and take but always remember its the wee quiet ones you need too watch.

not often i get in the box with the keeper to go and to be denied a penalty like that as well as cooneys was the boiling point...he was a shocker both ways..

Couldn't agree more. Cooney's definately should have been a penalty. I was talking with the Florina boys on the side line and we were all laughing at the decisions the ref was making rather than yelling abuse. That ref used to do the juniors and couldn't get it right there, god only knows how he survives amateurs
