Funny, that is exactly what we all felt at Fulham after the B's game against you guys - still don't know how we didn't win that one
Who cares about your B team you :clown:

Vista vs Gully reserves today. An incident occured where Michael Krollig punched one of our players clean in the jaw just about knocking him out was only given a yellow card by the home ref. This is disgraceful and for an incident like that he should be out for a few weeks especially after he wasonly sent off a few weeks ago.

To quote a Knights supporter, 'It looked like a training session for Inter against 12 year olds'.

Worst team Inter have played against this year.

Well done to Spellow and the Vista boys today, unfortunately we took 20 mins to get going today, by then it was 1 nil ,felt after that we had more of the play. Few good new signings for you boys, but can I ask, Is Andy Carmen playing for the rest of the season or just the one game? Heard it was just for our game? If so, bit harsh on your regular keeper to play all season then be told he isnt playing this week ! Any way if you play with the intensity you did today for the rest of the season then you should win more than you lose from here on. Good luck! PS............. Heard there should be a linesmans course coming up soon !

Watching from the sidelines and the ref did not see the incident. Then all the Vista supporters wanted to get onto the pitch (potential game abandoned, anyone?).

Forgive me for being the devils advocate but why would the ref send him off when he did not see the incident and listen to all your supporters asking for blood/sendoff? any ref who would listen to a clubs supporters for a decision isn't worth the whistle he blows mate.

Sent off a few weeks ago as well for dissent in the cup, nothing more. Nice try trying to make him out to be some huge bad guy

Didnt know what he was sent off for so that fair enough. People only went on te pitch to try and stop the situation from escalating. The referee was actually told by the linesman, who I know was Vistas but that should surly be enough. Its done and dusted now.

From what I saw wouldn't of escalated if the supporters didn't try and grab players. Anyway done and dusted now and an entertaining game.

Heard about the Andy Carmen thing as well. Funny if true - be pissed if you were the regular a team keeper....flying in a player for one game, paying his fees, kinda funny! Credit to vista though who took their 1 chance well. Gully should've had the game tied up but thats the breaks.

Thought Gannon did ok without really being noticed. Linesman was bad but you get that almost every week in saasl.

Bosna 2-1 Grove

Disappointing result for the Grove today. A win would have put us 4 points clear of Bosna. But to be honest, Bosna deserved the 3 points in the end. We went in 1-0 at half time, but Bosna missed a number of opportunities, thanks to some great saves from Pinnington.
The second half was pretty even, Bosna equalised about 10 minutes in through a well taken individual effort. Bosna then scored midway through the half. Chances either end could have changed the result, but thats football. Have to give credit to Bosna for a good, well fought out game and it seems the trouble we had with you last year can be forgotten.

Just wanted to give a brief comment on the reserves game. Why bother having linesmen if the ref doesnt use them? The first two goals were obviously offside, but the ref chose to play on, and when questioned, just 'waved him off' as if to say, 'i dont care what you think'. I know that reserves games arent always played entirely fairly (from what ive seen) but to just disregard his opinion completely was a real shame. So as i said before, why should he bother even being there?

This would have to be the closest div 1 title in years. Just when you think one team has gained the ascendancy, they lose it and another team pops up into contention.

Vista Vs Gully - just briefly, andy carman wasn't flown in for the game, he was done here for a birthday, why not use one of the best keepers in the state. As for our regular keeper, he watched and hopefully learnt from the master. now onto Scott Gannon, took the p*** to all the knockers, clas touch, his free kicks were sublime, take that!!!!!! As for the game and the linesman, ref called everytime the flag went up and thought both linesman were fair (we even had 2 one on ones that were called offside by the ref, not the linesman so the ref kept up with the game) getting onto the game, not at any stage did i feel that vista were going to loose the game, one man ttg (derek simpson) was very quiet and know one for gully stood up, really no pressure on our keeper, who is class. Vista had chances and like gully didn't put them away but hey, 1-0 couldn't give a toss, 3 points ringing in the ears, even bigger game this week for vista against knights, who, as i predicted, lost, allowing us now to play and win and move into possibly 5th, bang in the mix again. To all the vista lads and crowd that came out yesterday, cheers, cracker of a win!!!!!!!
You go on the p*ss all day, you've ballooned out like the Pillsbury Doughboy!
You could go to jail for this! What sort of system am I going to play then? Three across the middle and one in bloody Pentonville? *Mike Basset*

A's Blue Eagles 3 Brahma 2
B's Blue Eagles 1 Brahma 2
C's Inter 4 Brahma 0
35's Celts 1 Athelstone 1

Didnt get to the a's game till half time, heard we were sh!te in the 1st half, not helped by losing our best payer 10 minutes in. 2nd half number 8 for BE, who scored the first, got another 2. That boy was a class above. We got 2 penalties, both fair, although deserved a third for a clear cut studs up challenge from behind. Cant knock the ref though, from what i saw he did well. Result was fair though, Eagles deserved the win, the lads paid the price for a 2 day bender.

Ressies good win to the lads, heard one of our players was king hit, hospital for stitches. What a hero from the beagles.

Hey Bodø, I am looking forward to your report.
Sorry, I got drenched cycling home after the game, then my wife wanted me to get dinner ready so I never got around to it. First time I saw either team play. I did talk to the old guy from the canteen before the reserves kicked off but he seemed more interested in talking about tonight's clash with Adelaide City which I don't really follow, but I did know about the argument about changing the days last season.

I found that blue canvas where the teams enter the field to be a pain in the neck because you can't see the whole ground, but on the other hand it meant fans and coaches weren't standing right on the side line :D

Strong win played a big part (especially in the reserves). With the exception of the red card incident I though both games were two cleanly fought ties and played in good spirits. At 1-1 in the A's and attacking with the wind I thought Brahma Logde would go on and win it but two quick goals in similar fashion saw the Eagles take a 3-1 lead. Both of Brahma's goals came from the spot. The first definately a penalty. The second one... not exactly sure where it hit the player but if you lean down into it as he did you're asking for trouble. Couldn't move up and down the ground like I often do so I was only in line with one offside decision which was definately wrong. The people around me were yelling the linesman wasn't in line with the play and unfortunately he wasn't for most of the games.

As for the very first throw in in the reserves game... I don't know how the home team gave the home team a throw in when their player booted it out with no-one any where near him. Quite possibly what I did at the Wanderers v Navarino game knowing the throw was one way and inadvertantly putting the flag up in the wrong direction. We all do it :D

It seems we were writing reports at the same time. Yes the two Blue eagles goals in the second half were class. I agree the referee did well. The reserves referee didn't do too bad either and he played a full 45 minutes in both halves (only the second time I've seen it). No argument with the red card, but it was out of the blue. It wasn't a dirty game at all.

Good reports BPBC and Bodo, and agree with majority of your points. The reserves game was played in good spirits until the stupid punch towards the end. I was the B's captain on the day, so very disappointing to see Brahma's captain get punched and apologised to him and your coach at the end of the game. However, he wasn't "king-hit" - just a quick jab to the lip. Doesn't make it any better, and it was out of character from the player involved, and he was very upset after the game.

In the A's game, we should really have killed the game off at the end of the first half with the chances we had, but let Brahma back in with the first penalty. Two moments of individual brilliance from our striker sealed the game. The second penalty was not a handball, and clearly hit him on the shoulder - but agree with Bodo, asking for trouble by dropping the arm.

You go on the p*ss all day, you've ballooned out like the Pillsbury Doughboy!
You could go to jail for this! What sort of system am I going to play then? Three across the middle and one in bloody Pentonville? *Mike Basset*

Lion V Farm

1st team Lost 4-1

Thats about the best way to describe it. Got killed in pretty much every position on the park. We were off the boil and Lion were on. Hungrier and more determined. Didn't let us play the ball out and we got caught out. The Real One has them organised and they simply outplayed us. We rate ourselves as one of the fittest and fastest teams in the league and today Lion looked like they were far and away fitter and faster than us. Really cant say much more about it. Still in shock. Have to dust ourselves off for the big game against Vale. This game will go along way to deciding the title.

B Team Won 6-1
Lion's B team has improved from previous years. They are still a group of guys out there for some fun but definately have improved in positioning and skill. We scored 2 goals in 2 minutes before half time and then ran away with the game. Not the best performance from our boys but to score six is a good result. Have to be happy with a result like that in difficult conditions

C Team Won 2-1 V Elizabeth Downs C2
Last time it was 13 nil. Played on a postage stamp pitch with a very strong breeze which made it difficult. We weren't real interested today and it showed. Goal of the season contender for our first goal scored by a certain someone :D Really struggled with the conditions and had a weakened team but well done to the Downs for a big improvement on the day.

Dads Army V Modbury Vista
Had a 4-2 loss. Again appartently the Vista team had quite a few young guys which were to fit for our boys. Someone said their striker from the ressie or first team was playing :?: Not sure about that. Our lack of a goal keeper is hurting us but in the end the old boys are enjoying been out their and having a kick.

Div 6 C2 Team V Mt Barker
Had a good 4-1 win which keeps them in check with the leaders. Away to Greenock next week which will be an interesting game. Well done to the boys who keep managing to find a way to win.

Biggest disappointment of the day wasn't the First team result but rather the non appearance of Redders. Big win of the year for them and he missed it. A few of the Lion boys were saying that its because he wasn't there that they won  Again well done to The Real One and Lion. Hopefully you can take some points off Westies and Vale for us

Well said PC, each player must win his position in order for the team to succeed. Gannon did exactly that and the team won thats the main thing!
