Sunday Division 1 - Round 11 Predictions

Post by Robbo »

Why doesnt Redders do his weekly write up no more?? :P

USC LION V INGLE FARM - Lion good win last week away, Farm solid last week at home. Draw there last time..

PARA HILLS EAST V SALISBURY FLORINA - Have Easties turned the corner ?? This week should tell. East traditionally hard to beat at their ground. Florina solid of late however.. would be disappointed with a home draw last weekend. Remember Easdt beat Downs few weeks back at home.

WEST BEACH V PARAFIELD GARDENS - Wasn't that impressed with Beach last week, they played poorly. Gardens continue to grind out results.. havent seen them for a while.

ELIZABETH VALE V PONTIAN EAGLES - You'd think Vale will romp this in the way Pontian is going atm. Nichols hat trick?

ELIZABETH DOWNS V PARA HILLS WEST - Argana Park, we love playing there :| Predict Fuda may score against West's short defence. West still the best team I have seen this year

Redders is concerntrating on his managerial abilities  :clown:

I have lined up a master plan for Dunt and Eggers this week. Kick them early and heckle Eggers for the whole game. It worked for westies apparently?

USC LION V INGLE FARM - Eggers to be pysched out by Bannard.
PARA HILLS EAST V SALISBURY FLORINA - Draw
WEST BEACH V PARAFIELD GARDENS - Gardens
ELIZABETH VALE V PONTIAN EAGLES - Have to say Vale is Nicholls playing?
ELIZABETH DOWNS V PARA HILLS WEST - Draw westies to start dropping a few points.

USC LION V INGLE FARM - Always hard to play away at Lion, Ingle Farm may drop points here.

PARA HILLS EAST V SALISBURY FLORINA - Easties solid draw last week, and great effort by Florina against Vale so should be a great game, Just think Florina may have the edge here

WEST BEACH V PARAFIELD GARDENS - Should be another hard game for the teams involved, both very evenly matched, Think with beach at home may just get away with a win.

ELIZABETH VALE V PONTIAN EAGLES - You would have to say Vale will chalk up the 3 points here, but stranger things have happened.

ELIZABETH DOWNS V PARA HILLS WEST - This I think will be match of the round, The pitch will suit both teams as each is equally average, would like to see Westies snag a point if only to ensure Downs can't win the threepeat.

I don't think you will have to worry about that Dunt bloke. He hasn't played since his glorious first three minutes against the West. Has become an invaluable supporter though.

Its the Battle of the Formites this week. Ingle Farms Star Player, Male Model and President V's Lions Star Player, Manager, Best Looking and President (Redders is all of the above mentioned). Lion match up well on us and play their ground well. We should have 3 coming back this week plus the last minute signing and another player back next week. I'm looking forward to heckling Rafa I mean Redders from the sideline!!

I heard Dunt has retired now anyway Farmer Joe?? Or is it just that he has two weeks holidays coming up

He has already scored an own goal this year!! It made the front page of Tentacles. Amazing considering that he is the main journo writing it.

i'm sure he would've crapped on about how it was own goal of the season, really talked it up to be a cracking finish or something to that effect!

but there's nothing wrong with scoring an own goal this season, i nearly had a brace against Galaxy! if my footwork was any worse, it would've gone in and we'd have lost 3-0 with all 3 goals being own goals

Lion vs Farm: Lion pulled a rabbit out of the hat last week and i hope they can pull two rabbits out this week. My great buddy and ex team mate is showing his class as a coach as well! Still hope lion can at least get a draw here but after farms convincing win against the beach i can't see them losing here. Mr X to even get a goal if he plays :) Farm's solid defence too strong for lion to penetrate and farms speed up front, lion too slow to handle. Sorry redders :D
Beach vs Gardens as i said before, gardens to start climbing the snakes and ladders table. Hitting form and from what i heard should have got maximum points against the downs. Wouldn't mind beach winning or even getting a point as leaves Gardens further behind us. Gardens in a close one - MAYBE
Vale vs Pontian After last weeks draw with Florina, Vale looked very well organised and were unlucky not to get all three points ( and so were we :D ) but can't see pontians getting anything at the vale. NO WAY! I wish, but i think i'll wait till i win the x lotto. Vale to Strong all over the park.
Downs vs West Go u downs. They are still pluggin away but can't see them winning league. Sorry motts but i still think your a mid table team at the moment, reflecting back on my comments earlier in the year. Still, Downs to win at home. They better or we all might start thinking Westies are an fkn great team.
Florina vs East With the boys gelling (if that's how u spell it) and getting some sort of results, we are only a whisker away from that next win. Very unlucky against the Vale not to win also. M Andrea had the chance to seal it in the last 5 and scuffed it wide. Easties have also started to hit their strapps and this could go either way. But they have to keep M Andrea at bay :D for them to have any chance.

Every week it seems there are tight tussles everywhere which, although the table doesnt truly indicate it, how tight the 1st Division is this year IMO.

Lion vs Farm - I think this will be a much tighter game than most people think. Although I reckon farm will walk away with the points, a draw or better for lion wouldnt suprise me. They always seem to be around the mark especially at their ground. Lion 1 - Farm 2

Beach vs Gardens - As I said last week I think the gardens play the ball pretty well. Think they will be too strong for the beach even though again they always seem to play their best football at home. Beach 0 Gardens 2

Vale vs Pontian - Missed the game when we played them but I think the Vale will be too physical and from all reports more desperate. At the moment Vale have a lot more to lose and IMO will be too strong at home. Vale 3 - Pontians 0

Downs vs Westies - Even though the downs arent playing their best football, travelling to Argana Park and coming away with a result is always a tough task. Downs are a tough physical side. On Sunday a few of Westies boys didnt seem to like a little bit of the rough stuff and we all know the Downs boys will give them plenty of it. That coupled with the crowd, I think the Downs can get up Downs 1 - Westies 0

Us vs Florina - Think this will be a cracker of a game. Last week we proved we can mix it with the best but the big challenge for us is to back it up 2 weeks in a row. Florina have proven themselves as well over the past month so it will definately be a tough game. We hopefully welcome back the return of East Boy which will be a massive bonus for us provided the :clown: can get his passing game right. And I think if we play like we did last week for the full 90 we can get a result. Us 1 - Florina 0

lion v farm farm way to good and will continue on to win the league easy imo
beach v gardens the nice pitch will suit the gardens 2-0
vale v pontian if c. nicholls is back then the vale in a tight one i reckon. dan nicholls a big loss but.
downs v westies a draw in this one. watched downs last week and they were totally out played, and dont know how they managed a point. but westies imo will start to drop down to earth now.
east v florina florina by a couple.
cleveland rocks!

lion v farm - FARM - 5-0 Sorry boys but Farm are getting their squad back together and with the fierce competition with Leon and Dunt coming back in this week will ensure that everyone is firing.
beach v gardens - DRAW 1-1. Both teams have their positives, beach strong at home, but I think Garndens are the better side.
vale v pontian - VALE 3-1 - Vale, like Farm, are a class above. They will push with a win, with the championship on the line.
downs v westies - DOWNS 1-0. Only because I think Downs will win at home and they will push around the young Westies team. Close game though.
east v florina - EAST 1-0. If East can actually play a whole game they will come through with the win. if not they will lose 2-1 with Florina scoring both in second half!!! Big in is East boy who will bring in some fight, experience and stability to the team.

lion v farm - are Lion on the improve?? still think Farm will be too strong
vale v pontian - how much impact with Dan leaving will it have on the team?? Vale still to good & will get 3pts at home
downs v westies - can Westies keep up with the title challenge?? I think it will start to crumble this week. Some of the westies boys first time to Argana & we all know what its like down there  Downs to win a home
east v florina - Florina starting to get some results on the board and look to be travelling well, that will continue this week up at Windy Point. Take ya thermals M Andrea it will be cold :D
beach - gardens - First time travelling to the beach all reports the pitch is a nice one & should suit Gardens! 6 pointer this week & the boys will be coming home with 3 :D

USC LION V INGLE FARM - We owe Lion after the draw last year at their ground killed off our title race. Lion match up well on us but we are slowly getting back to form

PARA HILLS EAST V SALISBURY FLORINA - East are improving but Florina are the dark horse this year. The new recruits all have some extra training under their belt so Florina should win.

WEST BEACH V PARAFIELD GARDENS - Tought to go to Beach and win but I think with Gardens getting some players off the physio bed and from the bar and to the park they will get at least a point. Beach were poor against us but I do think it was a once off.

ELIZABETH VALE V PONTIAN EAGLES - Vale have to much to play for and the loss of Dan will only strengthen their resolve. If Pontians are without Billy again, they will struggle. George to pull off a couple of cracking saves though

ELIZABETH DOWNS V PARA HILLS WEST - Hard to pick against a team that hasn't lost this season no matter how you think they play. Downs will match their fitness but West's pace will see them win. Praying for a Downs victory though!!

The boys are pumped espically since we only scrapped over the line in the last game. Certainly not been taken lightly
