Strange how mahy forumites have picked Matt Blackwood as the Downs MVP considering he has not played this year.

Fair summary I'd reckon. Except for the highlighted individual.....haywood djablowme wrote:IMO

I would think that most of the strong teams would struggle to name just one, but maybe had 3-5 MVP's.

But then they would have to be called just VP's.

Gardens - Kaftan and Mo
Downs - Haven't seen them this year
Farm - Ennis, follwed by eggers and dunt when fit
Vale - Has to be Nicholls, then Crawford a close second
Lion - Hunt by a long way, then djoko when fit
Pontians - George the keeper, then Billy K (is he still there?)
Westies - Probably Rus Harris, then Shaun
East - Aitken easily, follwed by locko
Beach - Manca by an abolute mile
Florina - S Marron, then Lucky

Still considered a Downs player though and I thought was your best in the two games against us last year. He really hasn't been replaced by the Downs this year.marooned wrote:Strange how mahy forumites have picked Matt Blackwood as the Downs MVP considering he has not played this year.

Agree, couldn't pick just one player. Greenwood is the best keeper in the league, Ennis one of the best defenders, Squiddy underrated by many teams and when he plays well we normally win. Clarky is a gun and tough as nails. Brad is absolute class, Toasty keeps banging in the goals, Leon one of the most experienced and smartest midfielders going around. Ricky is verstile, Zorro is the most improved player at our club over the last 3 years, Dunty is just the total package, Jarrod creates havoc with his run and power, Eggars can create something from nothing in the middle, Groomy still keeps providing us with an option and is probably the most creative player we have. Not only that, we have one of the hardest working strikers in Jonesy, the most adaptable and proud players in Alby, the best U21 year old striker in the league in Wadey and the most unlucky defender in the league in Evan who just can't break into the starting line up. I may be biased, ( ), but I think we have 20 players, all of whom bring their own uniqueness in making them vital to the team. The coaches in Simo and Leggy shouldn't be underestimated either as they continually get the best out of the players they have and manage to keep 20 players who all of whom deserve to start each week, happy at the club.

Re: YOUR CLUBS M.V.P
Some hard ones to call, in a league of teams with lots of talent. Due to the fact that i have no club unless i am choosing MVS (Most Valuble Spectator - Bodo apparently ) Here a few IMO that would be up there for their respective clubs . These are based on what I have seen so far this year and what I have been told by people at other games :
Vale: Nicholls
Farm: Ennis / Dunt
Gardens: Mo / Hoppo
Downs: Fuda / Blackwood
Florina: S Marron
Lion: Hunt
East: Aitken
West: Spiby
Inter: Griffiths / Mc Cafferty
TTG: Simpson
Vista: Williams
ISC: Lots of Good Players hard to pick an Mvp
Pumas: Jack M
Vale: Nicholls
Farm: Ennis / Dunt
Gardens: Mo / Hoppo
Downs: Fuda / Blackwood
Florina: S Marron
Lion: Hunt
East: Aitken
West: Spiby
