Wouldn't have thought it was rocket science.
Easier said then done. When you do something wrong during a game, sometimes you don't even mean to swear, but its a spur of the moment thing.
Fair comment but let's not use it as an excuse for not trying eradicate it.
Thats what she said!

becuase a player on my team last week got a straight red when he got hacked down and the player that hacked him got a red and so did the boy on my team for swearing back at him.

isn't it ment to be atleast a yellow??
Can be straight red, if it is directed at the referee, opposition or spectator.

OO , it can also be a straight red if it is audible and clear to the ref who said it, it "does not have to be directed at any one"

while on the topic of swearing and what should refs do.....
what should a player do when i ref swears at them?

I actually had a ref swear at me during a game yesterday....(was a catch up game)

"I haven't booked anyone in this game yet and if I have to book someone I'll be so far-king pissed off if it's you." He says.

should i have issued him a red card?
or a yellow or just tell him to calm it down.

depends on what it is really, if you do swear at the ref you will get a yellow card for sure, cos if you get a yellow for answering back your certainly going to get one for swearing..

on my game on sunday. The ball was in the air and i went to header it while a player from the other team tried to volley it and kicked me in the balls. I screamed out F*&% and the ref didnt give me any cards or warnings but i think the only time they give you cards for swearing is only if its directed at the ref or at a player.

straight red = 2game suspension...and i think 4 innappropriate language it adds another... but i think it depends in the manner it is said -a player in my team said f**k off like to the ref and got 3 games, but if u say it in general its like 2...dont quote me on that lol

In my opinion you should yellow carded if you direct the swear word to a ref, player, ect.
but sometimes the referees have to realise people only swear in frustration at themselves for not doing what they intended and thats when it should be let go
