rumour saying they had over age players in the team and have had all points removed and fined?
if its true for 12's comp its about time the FFSA made the fines or penalties higher if the clubs get caught, maybe ban the club from the comps in all ages bet that stops the practice dead in its track.
they must have been caught as looking at the results, the 4-0 win they had over Olympic has been reversed to 3-0 win to Olympic. And the draw or win they had over Salisbury has been reversed also. Don't know why they still have one goal, but Olympic have now 4 (when they only scored their first on Sunday).

Silly by Raiders if they have been playing overage players
Havent they been having card checks
It's beyond silly...it's very sad if the game gets to the point where Under 12's play over age players....we need to always keep in mind that it is "only a game after all"
shouldn't the team that supplied the overage kid / kids be punished as well? The coach from the older age group must have known about it. And what about Raider's cup run which saw them knock out NAB and White City?
the under 13s was not aware of the overage child in the 12s cause he has been registered to the under 12s all season and was not registered to play with the 13s it was not picked up the club, ffsa, coach and parents so it was infact an honest mistake missed by heaps of people , a rare mistake by all involved
This was an honest mistake. The boy involved was registered as part of the U12s team and it slipped thru all the check measures within the club and the FFSA that he was actually overage. The team have had card checks at previous games and it slipped thru even at those times! The reason why there was 1 point left was that the child in question didnt play every game so only the games that he was listed for had the points removed and the penalty imposed. The club and the team have accepted their mistake and taken the punishment without question or argument. Its been a HUGE learning curve and this mistake wont happen again. Its actually been quite a heartbreaking lesson to have to go thru for all involved.
But let me make this clear, this was NOT cheating. It was an honest mistake that has now been rectified
ohh STUIPD DAD dnt know anything about this.. he ment to say. I agree with back of the net and it has been an honest mistake by everyone involved and the kids are heartbroken. and they lost all there points... they have made mistake and hopefully they learn from this and it wont happen AGAIN.
Ur right, everyone involved - especially the Club - have learnt from this and measures have been put into place so this type of incident DOESNT happen again. All we can do is live and learn.
