Duce mate - nice one.
But the French live in Europe. Turkey is in Asia apart from part of Constantinople. And that shouldnt belong to them anyway.

What a shocker performance by Germany. Ballack had a night off but the game never got out of control. Commentators were saying it could have been 3 or 4-1 at half time but Germany lifted a bit straight after the goal. Did just enough and just sat back and absorbed the pressure. Turkey had no punch late and with 15mins to go, they were finished

I can't believe the stuff that's been written in this thread, you're all juveniles man!

As I've said in previous threads, "Spain will finally break the shackles and capture success in an International tournament since Euro 64 and the 1992 Olympics"

irrelevant barbarez!

your either a champion or nothing. and in this instance, russia, spain and germany are left to play it out. Do you remember who the runners up and quarter finalists etc were from euro 1996????(dont go and do a search you geek). All i remember off the top of my head from euro 1996 was germany beating czech in the final.....get my drift?

Greece were in the group of death. Both spain and russia are in the semi final and both were in greece's group.

Finally. Turkey, hahahahahhahahahhhha. Bunch of dreamers they are. They had the most bullshit luck all tournament and thought they would win it. hahahahahahhahahahahah.

greece own turkey in sport. greece are a euro powerhouse in basket. Turkey dont know how to bounce a ball. Could go on and on. Turkey population 5 times the size of greece. All comes down to quality of brain intellect.

Fark hats off to Turkey...what a game, they outplayed ze Germans but the luck wasn't on there side last night unlike for the Greeks in 04 where they used up there luck for the next 10000 years

the fought and with 9 players missing it was a pretty fair effort, i don't think the Greeks are going to come even close to performing like that ever!!!

You guys talk about how lucky The Turks were.....but forget how lucky Greece was in 04, bow your heads in shame

You scored from a corner and then played 10 players behind the ball, ive said what i have to....I'm not Turkish and have nothing to do with them but you guys are bagging them enough and it's unfair

what a pathetic mornonic post. Greece did not score goals via gifts from goalkeepers or defensive errors in euro 2004 like turkey has in euro 08. They earned their goals and defended tirelessly with almost perfect strategic gameplay and didnt concede a goal for the rest of the tournament from the start of the second half against russia in the group stage all the way through to the final. THAT IS NOT LUCK!!!!! (italys game plan springs to mind when thinking of greece's achievements in euro 04, yet i dont hear ppl calling italys tactics lucky)

how many goals did turkey score because of goalkeepers performing blunders giving them an oppurtunity to win.

lets go through turkeys luck game by game

vs switzerland. Down 1-0 and switzerland loss concentration coz theyre average.

vs czech republic. Down 2-0 and petr czech gave them a free equaliser. The first goal was bad defending by czech and the 3rd goal for turkey from Nihat was OFFSIDE!

Vs croatia: Croatia dominated and missed easy goals 2 yards from open goals. Turkey had one decent opportunity and that was in last second of extra time and scored = luck.

vs germany: Lehmann the loser let in that easy shot which made it 1-0 for turkey. Turkeys second goal was from a 5 degree angle on the baseline which lehmann should have covered.

Nah, turkey had no luck. They were strong performers who got leads in games and held them...NOT.

they simply rode a rollercoaster of emotion, adrenalin and EXTREMELY LUCKY MOMENTUM which at times is hard to stop or avoid(as many of you would know if you've watched your fare share of soccer).

Once again, greece beat the hosts of a major toarnament twice and knocked out the defending champions france as well as high flyers czech(at the time they were awesome).

no matter what anyone says, they will always fight a losing argument when comparing european greece to asian turkey. :)

hasselhoff hasselhoff hasselhoff!!!!!!!!

greeks have no reason to bow heads in shame, but rather hold them high considering the tiny nations achievements in european sport from soccer through to basketball through to eurovision song contests lol!

greece also went on to make the final in the world cup of basketball 2 years after that, beating USA in the semi final but losing to spain in final. Pananthinaikos then went on to become european champions in basketball a year after that. And in the whole process somewhere inbetween 2004-2007, greece won eurovision song contest(cant remember the year) lol. Not bad considering 50+ nations all compete for these prizes, most of which out-populate greece. greece also finished 3rd in the most recent eurovision song contest.

your missing the point fuckwit!!!!!!! without the luck from their previous games, they wouldnt have even played in a semi final!!!!

YOU CANNOT WIN A MAJOR TOURNAMENT FROM START TO FINISH ALL ON LUCK!

so your statement is dumb!

GREECE had their slice of luck in euro 2004 like any major tournament victors do, but it was only that....A SLICE OF LUCK. Luck was not the deciding factor in euro 2004, whereas turkeys progress beating switzerland, czech and croatia was all LUCK!

being a non turkish supporter, surely your brain can comprehend that!
