Ronaldo To Madrid For £70m On July 7?

Cristiano Ronaldo will be announced as a world record signing for £70 million on July 7 by Real Madrid, according to the Daily Mail...

Despite Manchester United's relentless refusal to sell their star man, it is widely speculated that he has already made his mind up and will do his utmost to ensure he is allowed to leave the club for Real Madrid this summer.

The Spanish champions have been pursuing the Portuguese ace for some time now and confidence is growing in the Spanish capital that the winger will be arriving sooner rather than later.

With Manchester United due to start pre-season training on July 14, los Merengues are eager for Ronaldo to hand in his transfer request as soon as possible so that a formal bid can be submitted and an agreement reached in the next fortnight.

Should the £70 million deal on the seventh day of the seventh month come to fruition, the only thing missing will be the number 7 itself on Ronaldo's shirt, as that is held by club icon Raúl.

£70m my as.s, what a joke. I wanted Ronaldo more than most Real Madrid fans but honestly this is going way too far Manchester United can keep him and we'll just take him 4 years when he comes for free.

You really think they'd let him run his contract down and become a free agent? :clown:

funny hw madrids coach says "we should spend anythin 2 get him", then there president says "we wont pay a crazy amount for him"
but like ive sed, there is no way united will settle for less then wat real paid for zidane... ronaldo has more playin time then zizou... and madrid r a club that would pay big bucks for a player 2 try and prove they r the best... united have sed they wont sell anyways

In one of the previous posts I read here on footballnews.com.au was that Furgeson was never gonna let ronaldo go. He said he let go of beckham, van nisteroy and others because they wern't of the same quality as ronaldo.
Do you really think furgeson will let ronaldo leave after they just won the champions league? no way man.
unless as stated in another article that Man Utd ask for a massive rediculous fee of 200 million pounds or more THEN it is in the best interests of man utd to sell him. But for 70 million pounds? Furgeson right now is laughing and rolling on the floor. Furgeson gave ronaldo his start in a top flight league and the porteguses league doesnt compare to england, spain or italy.
The threat that Furgeson will bench ronaldo in the stands is true. Furgeson is a champion manager but BOY you dont want to get on his BAD side or look out man.
alot of people on here bag ronaldo that he is a pretender, clown, etc but has anyone asked furgeson how high he rates ronaldo? believe me he rates him very highly indeed, probably even more than Cantona. Furgeson will not let ronaldo go for at least 150 million pounds. You may laugh at that figure but furgesons threats scare me and a lot of people.

If He leaves, big deal. He is a quality act, but there are players to fill in his shoes. We have Nani & Anderson who are upcoming stars of the future and while were linked with Berbatov, Van Der Vaart & Robinho Id say there all quality players who could all fill his shoes and have plenty of playing time left in them.

Yeah, news without quotes are always the most reliable. :clown:

Come to think of it, a football journalist could be an ideal career. Get paid to make up stuff.
